That gives him a loophole and someone to blameā¦
Thanks for the offer to buy me a bucket but Iād prefer you simply didnāt burn my house down, thanks anyway.
You think heās looking for an out? Because from all Iāve seen heās serious about this trade stuff. Wildly wrong, of course, goes without saying, but he thinks he has an insight and capacity to work wonders that nobody else does.
Soā¦paying off farmers so they wonāt complain during the mid terms. Thatās bribery, folks, and Trump admitted that was the goal.
Trump wakes up in a bad mood.
Starts a trade war.
Farmers are the causality.
Trump puts farmers on welfare.
SO much winning? Surprised Trump hasnāt blamed Hillary yet.
Register people to vote. There is a Federal Voter Registration form you can download and use in all 50 states and US Territories- https://vote.gov/files/federal-voter-registration_1-25-16_english.pdf. Print out a bunch and keep them with you. Register people on the spot!
If you need to help people overcome the GOP-led voter-run-around campaign help them do that. This site, https://www.aauw.org/resource/organize-a-voter-registration-drive/, has a how-to on organizing a voter registration drive. Or even sitting outside Wal Mart with a folding chair and a card table. Yes, thatās the American Association of University Women. And while weāre here organize a League of Women Voters chapter in your community if you donāt already have one. Fair, honest and above board. Democracy functions better with them involved.
Civics, civility and civilization all share the same roots. Get crackinā!
Heās a coward and given the chance to, āmagnanimouslyā, make a retreat ābecause you begged for itā, even when āwe were winningā, may save some faceā¦he thinksā¦
āI donāt want free money. I donāt want bailouts. I want trade. Trade is what works,ā said Wanda Patsche
But you will reluctantly, with deep regret, accept the free money, wonāt you? So - STFU, please.
Very, very twisted & desperate move by Trump - āFARMER WELFAREā
in normal circumstances conservatives would vehemently āWELFAREā in any form- even when people are in a situation where they are in desperate straits - (hell - a little starvation will motivate those people to get a job) ā¦ (help with natural disaster relief - those people should have been prepared) ā¦ and the conservatives disparage āWELFAREā as just a way to buy votesā¦
Well, heāll often fold in the face of nearly any opposition, certainly. OTOH heās been talking about this stuff for decades and heās pretty impervious to evidence heās wrong. He really envisions fabulous results to come and IMHO he certainly wants to stay the course. Iāll say even odds at least on this one.
So his he just trying to push the last remaining family farms into corporate farms? Granted the large family farms arenāt probably much better than the big corporation.
Letās see how many cash the check ā¦
before we determine the strength of protest ā
āShort term aidā is a bribe. No other way to characterize it.
āI alone can fuckup our economy.ā
Wonderful Wanda will also vote for whatever Trump loving jakass who is running this fall.
My welfareāGood.
Your welfareāBad.
I have never known a farmer to turn down farmer welfare in the past. I donāt know why they wonāt take it now. My guess is somebody did the math and realized that this 12 billion dollars isnāt nearly enough.
Theyāll take the payments. They would just prefer he not permanently destroy the international markets they have built up over the years.
Once the Chinese et al get their soybeans from Brazil, why go to the trouble of switching back to the US suppliers?
Trumpās hand-out to farmers takes what had been working (their farms) - Fās it up - - and then puts a hand-out before them that - like an addicting drug - will for many - Fā them (& their whole surrounding economic structure) up for the long run ā¦
So in this context - what should Donald Trump be called? ā¦ Oh letās try this handy tool ā¦
The USDA said it planned to roll out some of those details around Labor
Day and the program would begin to make payouts after the fall harvest.
In other words, theyāll wait until they have county-by-county polling results and know whose votes are crucial.
Corn in February was 4.10 per bushel. It is currently below 3.00 at the local elevator. We could argue all day about how much of the drop was due to tariffs and what was normal supply and demand.
I know twelve billion dollars sounds huge but do some math. The US farmers planted 250 million acres of corn, soybeans, wheat, and cotton. Iām not sure how much sorghum was planted. Add to the equation 73.5 million hogs and a huge amount of dairy products.
12 billion divided by 250 million would be in the neighborhood of $48 dollars per acre. Considering the US average corn yield is 180 bushels per acre we are talking about 25 cents per bushel.
And that isnāt leaving anything for the dairy, the sorghum, or the pigs.
But most farmers are Trump supporters and will point to this as how good he has been for them. He takes away a dollar and gives back a quarter and farmers think they have won the lottery!
Is there any chance congress will try to block this. oh wait, never gonna happen.
