I donât have much use for David Horowitz-- who went from being on the extreme left to being on the extreme right, without ever taking time to catch his breath somewhere in the middle. But I donât like the picture emerging of Michael Brown either. From the pictures and the confession of his accomplice/friend, we know that Brown was a physically violent person, with no qualms about using his size and strength against an older person half his size. We know that Brown stole (letâs not sugar coat this) from a convenience store that served his neighborhood, just ten minutes before his run-in with the police. We know that Brown was obstructing traffic for absolutely no good reason, walking down the middle of a street. We know that when the police officer told Brown and his accomplice to get on the sidewalk, his accomplice did so, while Brown refused and got into a physical altercation with the police officer. In this physical altercation, Brown was outside the car, while the officer was inside it, making it much easier for Brown to physically control the officer than the other way around. In short, Michael Brown was not someone to admire and he appeared to be - if the pictures are accurate - someone to be feared. I think we make a huge mistake - and we play into the hands of the bigots - to whitewash his behavior. Now, I donât know much about Gangsta Rap, but it sounds like bad stuff to me (among other things, using disgusting images of women), and I think I recall Obama denouncing it in the past. Finally, I think it is ironic that we liberals should be providing excuses for those in Ferguson who are trashing the town, throwing incendiaries and rioting; we ought to be the ones demanding law and order, to save the town for its residents and to prevent the right wing backlash that is as certain today as it was after the 1960s riots that ushered in two decades of right wing government.

Yes, but which one? We are all part of the human race. When I look at the way Brown moved in the video I see my number 3 son at the same age. He is large and scary too. He was was no angel at 18, but he grew up to graduate from college and has become pillar of the community.
Of course, my son is white and his parents had the money and influence needed to make sure he didnât get into too much trouble with the law. For a few years back then, however, his parents were really worried.

Lots of young White males and youths listen to rap music and freestyle rap lyrics. Doesnât make them a thug or cast aspersions on them. Itâs truly amazing how conservatives thinks they can figure out who this child was based on social media postâs.
