Discussion: Family Says Tennessee Shooter Dealt With Depression, Alcohol Abuse

Discussion for article #238555

The representative said Abdulazeez had owned guns for years, going back to when he was a child…

Sounds like another Adam Lanza. “Gee, our son has a lot of mental health problems. Let’s make sure he’s heavily armed.”

Two things I’m waiting to see covered in the media: the contribution of psychiatric medication to homicidal behavior, and the contribution of anabolic steroid to abusive police behavior.

“Several years ago, relatives tried to have Abdulazeez admitted to an in-patient program for drug and alcohol abuse but a health insurer refused to approve the expense, said the representative.”
Typical. Profits over Patients.
“Recently, Abdulazeez had begun working the night shift at a manufacturing plant and was taking medication to help with problems sleeping in the daytime, the representative said, and he also had a prescription for muscle relaxants because of a back problem.”
The “medication” was probably “Ambien” which has a well-known side-effect of causing “psychotic break” episodes, especially in people with a history of depression/anxiety issues.
What I want to know is: How did he so EASILY obtain three “assault rifles” over the Internet? He was not allowed to own any guns due to his conviction on drug charges.
Can you say: “LOOPHOLE”?

We can’t let the muslims start using the white person murder excuse. Gotta be terrorist extremism or the narrative doesnt work.

Change the skin tone and the last name, and he becomes the all-American boy whose rampage lasts one news cycle. The real story is his access to assault rifles, not his ethnicity; but its the exceptionally all-American story that dare not speak its name!
