Time to remove “home of the brave” from the national anthem.
I think he’s perfectly happy to appear as an ignorant bigot.
They are braking the law in an unlawful power.grab. only the president controls how many imigrants can enter from any particular country. The congress granted that sole descression to the president in 2004. They may have intended that those powers only went to George Bush, but the law does not work that way.
Of course Gop are simple mined little children so they probably did not understand the law they voted for.
“After attacks, France increases its commitment to refugees.”
.
France, which was attacked, showing more courage than many governors
in the U.S.
I have had a snoot-full of these vile jackasses. Seriously. I wish somebody would put Mike Pence in mortal danger so that he has to flee for his life, and then have every door he goes to slammed in his face. In fact, that’s how I hope he spends eternity. He certainly deserves to.
Why didn’t Indiana Gov. Mike Pence just hold a gun to their heads & make them convert to Christianity ?? (a good conservative denomination mind you - none of that eastern liberal Congregationalist stuff)
Too late.
Who would Jesus shun?
Today’s Republicans.
Ironically, Mitch Daniels, former governor of Indiana, is of Syrian descent.
Actually he can’t. Only the president of the PRESIDENT has that power. The congress voted on a law in 2004 giving the power to President Bush. I think it then transfered to President Obama.
My little sister, who lived in Greencastle, IN, (home of DePauw University, so a liberal enclave of sorts) used to refer to Cloverdale, IN as Clovertucky.
And yet he was elected…
The federal government can bring charges against the governor for violating the US Constitution, but that eventually allows the Republican US Supreme Court to make new laws overruling the Constitution. Not really a good idea.
We two residents of Indiana would be happier in Connecticut, too. I’m sickened by this governor.
No one, and I’m not even a Christian.
Please, please, please let someone of this family do something that publicly brings vast benefits to Connecticut.
I can picture a scene similar to those we saw during the end of segregation. but instead of escorting black children into school, we’ll be escorting Syrian refugees into new homes
Fine. We’ll remember Indiana when you start whining about putting up your creche at the State Capitol during the holidays.
