And, everyone always questions why it takes women so long to come forward with what happened to them. Here’s an example and would you want to put yourself through this? This is why they don’t come forward.
Meredith Watson, one of the women who has accused Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax (D) of sexual assault

You know (and I am WELL AWARE that I could be wrong), in the day and age of Republicans ratfucking EVERYTHING - you have to wonder if this isn’t retaliation for Kavanaugh. Who knows, maybe it did happen and maybe he is guilty as charged, but apparently there are no witnesses from 2004 and she didn’t mention this until recently?
Is there anyone, anywhere that backs her story up?
Ms. Watson is the one from 2000. Allegedly told witnesses right after, so there should be more to this case.
Should be an easy one to go to law enforcement with to investigate, interview the witnesses and so, but Ms. Watson explicitly doesn’t want to go that route.
Do you really, REALLY believe that she would have made this up? Do you not believe that she is telling the truth about what has happened to her since she came forward? Do you not think that she knew that that would happen?
Take your head out of the sand, friend.
Ever been involved in a police investigation, especially one involving sexual assault? or one involving a prominent person as prospective defendant?
Quite a number of years ago, but yes, actually. So fair and impartial investigations are near and dear to my heart.
I guess you were never involved in one where the police had an agenda. Or where powerful people were involved. Or where the police were incompetent. Or where it dragged on for month after month with nothing happening. You were lucky then.
There were no witnesses. This was done in a room alone. And what will anyone remember after 15 years?
This is bogus. Enough with the charges of being naughty 15 years ago. Either there is a police report or there is not.
Do you REALLY believe everything people say that happened 15 years ago despite the FACT that she said nothing about it until recently?
Actually, I was, and as the target. Mean Girls in high school, some people do make things up. And it took months to clear my name. So having been on the receiving end of a false accusation (nothing so serious as this stuff), I’m very sensitive to the issue. And know that everyone sounds credible when they are telling their own story on their own terms. It’s very different when they have to tell their story and not to a friendly lawyer.
Doesn’t mean I don’t believe Ms. Watson, just that we don’t have enough to go off of without a proper investigation.
There has been almost universal support for the accuser, even among those nonetheless calling for due process for the accused. To what does her reference to “shaming” in this case refer?
well, it is any worse if she had made her accusation 20 years ago when it alllegedly happened? at least she would have a police report to support her claim; and 20 years ago, FAIRFAX was just another guy…what would be the point of accusing him then? why now???
'did you ‘not’ believe her…do you ‘not’ think………how does one answer such a dumb question?
You could start with a simple declarative sentence.
