Rahm tried to cover up the murder of Laquan McDonald. He should have resigned when the cover-up failed, and he should be prosecuted for obstruction of justice. What arrogance that he even CONSIDERED that he should be mayor again.

The police in many of these large cities have way too much power and influence. Not excusing Emanuel here, but dealing with them is like walking a tightrope. They seem to be far more interested in protecting their own than policing themselves.

Rahm inherited a City that was in financial chaos. He did a damn good job guiding the City through that financial mess by doing very unpopular but necessary things to address the problems. I know, my tax bill has gone through the roof. I will miss him. Smart guy. He will do very well in the private sector.
