On Twitter, Natasha Bertrand said that one of the operators on the FB conference call about this pronounced the website Politico’s name as Poly-taco. She is pushing us all to adopt it.

I routinely get “advertisements” in support of Trump (and Knute Buehler the R candidate for Governor) making all manner of clearly false claims. I mark them as fake. They get removed and don’t come back. There does seem to be a new patina of “we’re trying to keep it real” on the big, steaming pile of avarice that represents the basic Facebook business model…

One can join FB and not give away your life story. In fact, you can fake the details and use it in a limited way as the better half does, that is, for sending private messages to friends and family who don’t like the machines called telephones.

I am going to follow Mike Pence’s example and just not go there and thus avoid the temptation.

For instance?

As your superior, civil servants, I would like weekly updates on the status of this work. By Zuckerberg. It’s his ass that’s on the line, personally.
