Oh yeah, I know Google is tracking my every move, but I do every thing I can to reduce what they track; location, etcā€¦

Instagram, or any other social media? Noā€¦

And I will never ever have an appliance or car that will spy on me, or an Amazon Echo, etc, etc, etc.

I set up a fake FB account and am slowly filling it with a mind numbing variety of posts, links, personality tests, cat videos, dog video, honey badger videos, and games, and Iā€™m making friends with every scam artist and wingnut group that cross my path. This is my personal gift to Cambridge Analytica! Screw their data.

No need to thank me; Patriotism goes way back in my family. I am merely a Conduit of Righteousness Indignation.

If they are admitting to 87M, then that number is probably a lot higher. I believe they only copped to 250k or so in the beginning of this fiasco. It is also relevant to note that this data wasnā€™t ā€˜stolenā€™ in a breach from Facebook. The app that originally obtained the data did so completely within Facebookā€™s TOS. That data was then ā€˜soldā€™ to CA.
