Discussion: FAA: 'Slight Increase In Sick Leave' Is Causing Flight Delays

Tis only a flesh wound…

Trump’s “Katrina” moment will happen if a plane has an issue for controllers or FAA inspection cutbacks.

drip… drip… drip…

So many walls I want to be a fly upon. Like yesterday’s Senate GOP lunch meeting. And Trump’s TV room right now.

I’m just waiting for next week to roll around… If TSA and the ATC don’t take advantage of the upcoming Super Bowl to conveniently shut down ATL, LAX and BOS, they’re foolish.

I predict a “National Emergency” very soon - possibly even this afternoon.

All the airlines need to do is cancel all flights in and out of DCA, IAD, and BWI until the shutdown is over.

The president of the Flight Attendants Union has suggested a general strike to end the Trump Shutdown.

I’m hoping she’ll follow through with the first airport affected being Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, just in time for the Super Bowl.

Fun Fact: On February 3rd I will be celebrating my continuous record of missing every Super Bowl since its inception in 1967. Fifty-three years and counting! Woo hoo!!

Lawmakers have made notable progress on a deal to end the federal government shutdown five weeks after it first started, several Capitol Hill sources told The Daily Beast on Friday morning.
The deal, like all those that require President Trump’s sign-off, is subject to revision and remains at the mercy of the president’s political whims. But the sources said that the talks, which began in earnest Thursday afternoon, had moved along further than any before and that news of terminals closing at LaGuardia Airport because of a reported shortage of air traffic controllers had put “gasoline on the fire.

There will be no funding included in the deal for Trump’s proposed wall along the southern border. Nor will the deal include a “down-payment” as the president requested on Thursday.

Hearing on Twitter that it’s now a “full stop” at Laguardia? If they shut it down, I think that’s game over for GOP.

They are keeping airspace open for Donnie’s flight to Moscow.

Not at the moment. At least five have have departed LGA in the last 20 minutes. Looks like 2 more on the active runway ready to go.

I think you’re right. Rump MUST find a way to look as though he won and have the last word. Let him bring it on.

God in Heaven, this whole fiasco was such a stupendously idiotic idea on the regime’s part. As usual with everything they do, there are no plans, no ideas drawn up just an unwavering belief that they’re right and the public (sans Dems) will support them.

I was right yesterday in that federal workers must be applying for unemployment. They are:

Initial claims for UI benefits filed by former Federal civilian employees totaled 25,419 in the week ending January 12, an increase of 14,965 from the prior week.

They don’t count them in the initial claims report.
