I wish the young and shallow would put as much passion into fighting climate change. But, hey, maybe sheâll get more people to show up for Begich.
I Quitâ Reporter Explains Why She Left News For Pot Advocacy
âthere comes a time in each and every one of our lives when we must choose to continue to spectate, or stand up for whatâs right.â
She did it for the $?
Watch the video first.
Actually the explanation makes the viral video even more awesome.
Iâm just going to listen to some Throwdown and Minor Threat now.
offering a more detailed â and less profane â explanation for her career move
Really TPM? âless profaneâ? She dropped 1 f-bomb in her on-air resignation not some Mamet-like stream of profanities. I didnât realize that TPM needed the fainting couch and smelling salts for an f-bomb.
Can someone explain some context for that clip since TPMZ is unable to? Sheâs reporting on a club she owns? And then says âshe doesnât have a choiceâ? Did the station make her quit over conflict of interest? Did the station know she owned the club? If they knew she owned the club why let her report on it on the first place?
I only hope she doesnât ruin the whole vibe by dragging Bitcoins into it.
I agree with the legalization arguments, but she certainly stands to profit. The way she quit was a brilliant marketing move, but completely unprofessional.
When they came for pot heads,
there was no one left to speak out.
She likely did the right thing the wrong way (language wise). A journalist should be a reporter first and not part of the news. Sheâs the owner, she says, of a cannabis club. I can foresee a situation where a conflict of interest could develop.
Details and context seem less important these days.
So much for âLetâs Go Get Stonedâ she was high from the start.
This woman has instantly become a hero to thousands of people, many of whom could care less about the marijuana issue. Thatâs how you quit a job like a motherfucking BOSS!!
Itâs also how you gain the most publicity for your new venture. Lol at people worried about professionalism. Trust me, this is EASILY a net plus for her business future (provided sheâs done trying to be a reporter).
As for the station and their interests, who gives a fuck? Theyâll be fine.
Sheâs very hot.
So using the word âfuckâ in public and/or polite company is not profane in your world? This may be one of those âeverybody does itâ things your parents tried to teach you and clearly failed.
Ian MacKaye now plays in The Evens with Amy Farina, formerly of The Warmers
No. Saying fuck in public is not profane. Obscene to some? Yes. Profane? Maybe if she had said âFuck Jesusâ. That would be profane.
Jesus, when weâre debating the use of ONE WORD, the terrorists have won.
Seriously, give it a break. This sort of thing has no impact on the story. Itâs like some people have nothing better to do than focus on the little things.
