Rubio has zero chance of getting the nomination. His only role in presidential politics for 2016 will be that of possible running mate to try and make the GOP competitive in FL.
Of course, even that role could be very iffy, as I expect he is going to be facing a hard time holding on to his Senate seat. If that’s the case, then his value to winning FL seriously diminishes.

There, I fixed it for you.
With Rubio, the GOP is once again showing their lack of knowledge
of Latinos. They lump all Spanish-speaking people into one big
pile never realizing that first and foremost, Cubans are not treated
at all like other Latino immigrants. If a Cuban plants his feet on US
soil he is automatically accepted and does not have to go through
the usual immigration process.
The GOP may not realize this, but other Latinos do and they
do not see Rubio as one of their own. If the GOP expects Rubio
to attract Latino votes nationwide, they are in for a big surprise.
Rubio can only get elected in heavily-Cuban areas of Florida.
Also, the GOP doesn’t realize that by “profiling” all Latinos as the
same they are actually insulting a vast host of very different cultures.

Rubio’s aides say the senator always has stressed border security and that he insisted on tougher enforcement measures as a condition for his Senate vote last year.
I guess his aides are liars too.

Rubio is inconsequential as a candidate, his incompetency as a senator is appalling. He runs from issue to issue like a chicken with its head cut off. He is such a tyro, and is a very slow learner.
