Discussion for article #222051

You think I am racist? Well, a second kick at the cat leaves no doubt.

This is my favorite line:

“It’s the world! You got to Israel, the blacks are just treated like dogs,”

So if Israel (supposedly) treats blacks like dogs…???

It means we should too? Is that what he’s saying, that treating black people as dogs is acceptable elsewhere, so…meh?

“I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses.”

Seems like they earn those things for themselves. You pay them for their talents and their work. You don’t get credit for paying your employees.

““There’s no racism here. If you don’t want to be walking into a basketball game with a certain person, is that racism?”

Rationalization, Smasinalization. What a twisted psyche you have to have to think this way. Taking compartmentalization to a whole new level.

“I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives that to them? Does someone else give that to them?

Always a benevolent slavemaster giving his work animals the best care and feeding…

If you’re a misogynist, don’t have extended conversations with women. It can only lead to trouble.

The Clippers play the Warriors in a little more than two hours from now, and we’ll see if the hate and vile remarks have affected their game.

This is the problem with the people in the .01% and overpaid CEO bubbles. They think they give their employees money, not that their employees earn the money and are the main resource that allows the investors and CEOs to make money.

Spoken like a true plantation owner.

Last I checked, Sterling was in a business relationship with those players and making quite a bit of money as a result. I find it revolting that he sees himself in some beneficent light where he is “taking care” of the players, rather than simply employing them and paying them their market worth.

As if the players “give him” nothing in return. Thanks for the charity, boss.

and amazingly similar to Craven Bundy’s statement:

And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy?

Israel has nothing to do with Sterling problems/attitudes just as Negroes had nothing to do with Bundy’s claim.

FYI: Matt Kemp is a professional baseball player, not a pro basketball player.

Lots of image control going on today.

Well, having the or a more full conversation is important, of course, but all the added info does is make explicit what is implicit in the previously released part. That is, Donald Sterling, is at heart expressing a standard ruling class view of race, but in a style more typical of entrepreneurs, especially the commercial real estate type, rather than that of the more traditional banking or indiustrial-based elite.

Just another racist who honestly believes he isn’t racist.

"I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses." WOW!?!

‘So, go out there and pick my cotton – you black-ass Jews.’

The man just called you a [s]lave – I don’t care how you justify it…but if you go out there and play for him [then you a SLAVE].
