Discussion for article #234502
“False flag” something something black people did ti to make it look like racists were more prevalent blah blah it’s all part of the race-baiters’ victimization of white people!!! In 3…2…
BTW, anyone else feel like vomiting? Here’s some intellectual ipecac…

“…colored BOH staff accepted” ??? Do they mean excepted?
What is the correct klan position here? Racism can be so complicated…
In Texas, that’s not a bug, it’s a feature!
It’s a mantra. Because is there any doubt whatsoever that if all of us were living in the 1860s it would be the liberals calling for the freeing of the slaves and the conservatives clamoring for “state’s rights” and the protection of the slave industry?
I don’t know who they think they’re fooling but themselves. All you have to do is look at which party the racists of today vote for.
Nevermind. I’m pretty sure the guy who came up with this does not know" loose" from “lose”, “complimentary” from “complementary” and his ass from his elbow.
Turn White to Straight and they’d be celebrating in Texas.
More satire?
That was my thought as well. This smells to me like an unfortunate attempt at ironic humor in response to the changing demographics of a historically black community.
That’s the current theory. I should add that Austin is decidedly UNlike the rest of Texas. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t live here.
Any minute now, we’ll see some Republican politician explaining how this demonstrates, conclusively, that whites are the real victims of racism here.
What’s sad is that Austin is the only cool city in that sorry assed excuse for a state.
I don’t think it was satirical. Struck me as social commentary – to shock with anachronistic in-your-face segregation in a world where there are daily news stories revealing that the mindset behind segregation is very much still part of the world.
That’s my take.
It’s times like this that I am SOOO glad I moved from Texas to WA State.
Whaddya mean? He told us the fact there was an African-American mayor in Selma meant it was all good. And of course, without having to remind us, there’s a Black Man sitting close to him on that justice is blind bench.
This news emerging on the day there’s an investigation into a possible lynching in Mississippi. So, where’s the progress.
Also, it’s SXSW. There’s throngs of people in downtown Austin from all over the world. It’s precisely this time of year that stunts like this most happen. And it’s almost certainly an attempt at pointed commentary / satire.
