With a name like that who needs credentials?
Exhibit A
“On one side were two members of President Trump’s bogus voter fraud commission, which was disbanded under a bevy of lawsuits [a bunch of lying assholes]. On the other were voting rights advocates who have led legal challenges to to restrictive election laws [and they’ve never been disbanded and never been proven wrong].”
“McConnell (R-KY) has indicated that he will not bring it up in the Senate.”
Enough. Fucking. Said.
On one side were two members of President Trump’s bogus voter fraud commission, which was disbanded under a bevy of lawsuits.
If these two guys represent the best people Republicans have to state their case, they have no argument. I’m enjoying watching Dems call them out.
I still say the Dems should attach the $5.7B for Trump’s wall to H.R. 1.
“Here, if you want your wall, you can have it - but only if you get this bill through the Senate and sign it.”
President Trump’s bogus voter fraud commission
Brava, Tierney.
It’s good to bring these two wastes of space out and open them up for public ridicule…there is no factual support for their position that there is tons of in person voter fraud, and the more they get exposed the better. HR1 is a really good piece of legislation, I expect the Democrats to keep proposing it until they finally get enough control to pass it…there are just too many things in there that are essential to making sure out voting system is fair and functions for the people.
That’s probably why Republicans, especially people like McConnell, are against it, because in a fair election their policies don’t stand a chance. That’s why they lie, cheat, and block voters, instead of doing the patriotic thing and putting their positions out there and then changing them until they can win elections.
Indeed. This seems to be Mitch’s entire raison d’être these days. The entire Republican Party and its minority president seem to be entirely dedicated to thwarting the will of the American people.
Ken Butthead is up there with Louie Gohmert in a head to head race for the dumbest representative ever.
Exactly. Democrats can propose Don the Con gets his $5.7 billion for the stupid wall, but only if the entire bill protecting voting rights is passed, DACA recipients get a path to citizenship, and Mueller be protected from firing.
McConnell doesn’t do his job. He is a personification of the GOP. Obstruction, obstruction, obstruction.
More.Of.This.
No more Republican Show Trials in the House.
Ex-Voter Fraud Commissioners
Still my all time favorite exchange between a real attorney and a bogus voter fraud fantacist:
Jesse Richman, a political scientist whose surveys became the basis for Kobach’s claims of widespread voter fraud, struggled to explain inconsistencies in his effort to separate anglophone voters from those with foreign-sounding names.
Just hypothetically, [ACLU attorney Dale] Ho wanted to know, would Richman consider “Carlos Murguia” to be a foreign name?
Richman: “Probably.”
Ho: “Probably what?”
Richman: “Probably would code it as foreign.”
Ho: “Are you aware that Carlos Murguia is a United States District Court Judge who sits in this courthouse?”
Richman: “I am not.”

Mic drop.
“The Democrat Party relies on corruption and voter intimidation to win elections,” Buck said
It is “Democratic Party” asshole. Why don’t Democrats mention this occasionally? Or start calling them Republics? It’s not a big thing but just point out that they’re assholes once and awhile.
It can’t hurt and it’s true.
ETA: This could be mentioned any time the wailing about “decency” occurs.
people should be ashamed of themselves.”
Shame? stop it you’re killing me. What you call shame they call pride, The Sandman smirk tells it all.
I am enjoying that more of the general (not close news watching) public is starting to understand the issue and the point (to corrupt the democratic process.)
