Took it a while for the neurons to connect up for me, too. It’s non-obvious because Page was always a marginal figure both in fact and in title, whereas Hess was at least a theoretically important person until the storm clouds began to gather.

O’Donnell discussed this one-page wonder last night, and the cynicism was strong. He wouldn’t even call it a “plan”, it was just a bunch of double spaced sentences on a piece of paper.

The other newspaper story I liked this a.m. was the one at the SF Chronicle with this headline.

The resistance has had the better early run, mostly by playing defense. The resistance helped to sink the GOP’s Obamacare overhaul by publicly shaming wobbly Republican congressmen. Then again, Trump helped to sink the GOP Obamacare overhaul by publicly shaming GOP congressmen.

First of all, Carter Page has absolutely no idea what kind of trouble he is in, or what, if anything, he has done wrong to have deserved the FISA warrant to investigate his bad self.

Secondly, he has absolutely no concept of what the Civil Rights Act actually is, or what it is truly supposed to protect, or any of the historical precedents he thinks his FISA warrant rises above.

Lastly, on that same thought, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HEEHEEHEEHEEHHEEHEEHEEHEE! HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!
