Nice to have a story about someone less disgusting than Trump.

I hope the judge is female and can’t wait to hear what she has to say. What a freaking scum bag.

OK, that’s just low. I mean really low. As in snake’s belly in a hole low.

When does HO hire him for youth outreach?

(All kidding aside - that’s just low.)

This will be known in the future as the Orange Cheeto defense. It was rigged.

Wow. If he had a set, they would definitely be brass.

The last I looked, arguing in front of the children, or even getting a divorce, is perfectly legal in this country.
Now, an adult having sexual relations with those children, that’s a little more problematic.

Meh. Standard defense maneuvering. It didn’t happen. If it did happen, it didn’t cause any harm. If it did happen and caused harm, it’s someone else’s fault. The defendant isn’t coming up with this stuff - his attorneys are, and there’s nothing particularly unusual about it.

As well known as he was for porn in college by so many folks it’s surprising that the folks at subway never picked up on it until it went way over the top.

Although it’s one of the standard things defense attorneys have to do, it also can have the effect of really annoying a jury. I’m a little surprised (given the conviction) that the defendants didn’t simply settle, unless there are so many other possible civil suits pending that they want to have a scorched-earth defense to scare off everyone else.

(Ironically, the attorneys can’t really offer the parents-to-blame defense that might actually have a tiny shred of validity, namely that association with and gifts from a rich and famous person might have muffled any concerns about inappropriate behavior that the parents felt.)

Just curious – will blaming the victims’ parents count against him when he comes up for parole?

Or he could, you know, plead guilty. Or tell his lawyers, “find another defense; I have enough of a shred of humanity left to not want to ruin this girl’s life any further.”

This is a civil suit. There’s no “guilty” or “not guilty.” These are all just pre-settlement bargaining positions, and will factor into the eventual settlement amount. I really wouldn’t make too much of any of this.

I sure as hell hope he is getting what is coming to him in prison…him being at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to offenders lower than low him and snitches are the dregs in prison…i hope he takes his instruction in the prison art of tossin salads seriously there could be a surprise exam on the subject at anytime…heheheheheehehehe
