As the Vindicator noted, Traficant’s farm, which is now owned by his daughter, played a role in his corruption trial. He had his staffers work on his horse farm while they were on the federal payroll, and other federal officials and a state investigator said they were bribed into working on his farm in exchange for political favors.

The fact Traficant had a knack to get under the skin of the right wing nuts as well as some on the left. made him one of the more sane congresscritters we had…Hope he recovers soon…

It’d be interesting to see how it ended up in his daughter’s name. Was it done as a way of hiding an asset from the courts?

Yeah, a kid in my grade school died when a tractor flipped over on him during a hay ride. Tractors can be dangerous tools.

Indeed. 
My stepbrother worked at a funeral home moving headstones and such. I’m not certain what type of machine he was on, but while lifting it flipped and pinned him down. He ended up dying. A 32 year old man, three kids.
It’s serious. I hope Traficant is ok.
I’m sorry to hear that. No one should die at work, yet it happens far too often.

And thank you. My father was heartbroken (it’s been almost 5 years). Parents should not have to bury their child. Just sad.
