"The column was met with nearly universal ire and mockery" - sounds about right.

VandeHei wouldn’t know “normal” America if it bit him in the ass.

The tragedy with Jim VandeHei is that syphilis is so easily treated today. Such a shame.

It’s typical for this kind of folk. They believe that if their close circle of friends thinks/says/believes X, then Everyone In The Whole World must think/say/believe X.

Their inability to understand the difference between “subjective” and “objective” facts drives them to make total imbeciles of themselves when they finally decide to open their mouths and tell us their opinion.

“Normal America?” Sounds like shades of Palin.

Jim VandeHei 2020!

Of course “normal people” also understand the superiority of us white folks, the governing document for the USA is the Christian Bible, and voters need to possess significant amounts of wealth to be qualified to have an opinion, let alone actually vote.

VandeHei’s ideal candidate “is a Vladimir Putin type who’s fun on Twitter and can hold court at the Aspen Ideas Festival.”

But not a compelling TED talk?

You just described the world many, many Republicans live in. It really does burst their bubble, at least temporarily, to learn that not all folks think the same way they do.

Well, sure. Abnormal folks, like myself, are the ones doing all the “petty punk-ass little thuggery stuff.” I need to figure out exactly what that means so I can start doing it.
