You’re not alone El Presidente.
Does take me back to a comment made to me–
by the grandmother of a close friend who lived through WWII in Germany:
“Dat Hitler guy. He vasn’t too bad-- til he schtarted doink dose krasy tings.”

Any Godwin-ing of a public figure usually comes off as hyperbole, but ya know… he’s not wrong.
Donnie Dimwit is an embarrassment to all of us too, El Zorro… we’re gonna have to build a wall along our eastern border in California if he’s actually elected President…
This is gonna coagulate Trump’s brain. Mexican Nationals never run out of pejoratives for gringos.
No need to insult Hitler.
Wrong comparison. More like Mussolini.
(Edit: Except that Mussolini was a lot smarter.)
I’d rather compare him to Warner Brothers cartoon characters—just seems to fit better somehow. You’ve got the Tasmanian Devil for out-of-control antagonism and not-brightness, with a dash of Yosemite Sam too for the short temper, and a generous portion of Foghorn Leghorn for the never shutting the fuck up.
With his doppelganger, Yosemite Sarah
Reminds him of Hitler? And when was Vincente Fox palling around with Hitler, huh?
"Ex-Mexican President Says Trump ‘Reminds Me Of Hitler’ "
Fox is no longer Mexican?
“He’s going to take that nation back to the old days of conflict, war, and everything,” he said, adding that Trump “reminds me of Hitler.”
Shorter Fox: tRump is like the Bush/Cheney regime on steroids.
My latest favorite Mexican insult is mayate, literally an insect that eats shit.
He reminds me of the classic “heel” in pro wrestling.
This is a leadership moment, though, likely to cost Trump at least a point in the general.
Hitler could have indeed demanded that Jews build a wall and pay for it, IF he was going to stop indeed at building some wall…Trump will moderate in the general, but this wisecrack will still hurt him.
The simple fact that Trump enlarges the mythical wall every time he’s insulted proves how mindless the idea has been from the start. It was never intended for security. It’s always been a monument to Trump’s fragile ego and, like PInnochio’s nose, grows larger with every attack on his character.
“He’s offended everybody”
Except maybe 35% of the Republican base.
Idi Amin comes to mind. When he was a young soldier one of his officers said he was “virtually bone from the neck up, and needs things explained in words of one letter.” As his career went on he had an until-now unrivaled ability to be horrible and ridiculous at the same time.
