Discussion: Ex-Leader Of Rogue Baltimore Police Unit Gets 15-Year Sentence For Robberies

…it’s an open question as to whether the force’s command structure had enough integrity to expose them.

That sounds familiar. Hey, Congress, do you have any integrity at all?

While the rogue detectives admitted to lying for years to cover their tracks, it’s an open question as to whether the force’s command structure had enough integrity to expose them.

It’s not an open question. This department has so many issues. The last DOJ report on BPD highlighted several. The reason I say the question is not open is because that very DOJ report included a sargent ordering a new patrol office to make a group of men move off a corner. The men weren’t doing anything wrong, but the sargent told the officer to find a reason to move them. This happened with a DOj observer in the car. That’s how bad BPD is at a basic patrol level- the senior patrol staff is teaching new officers to violate basic rights on a daily basis.

suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder from his years policing Baltimore’s streets

Sorry, dude, but why didn’t the other 2,600 Baltimore street cops start robbing because of their trauma?

It’s everywhere.

And the conservative movement believes aiding and abetting greed is a central function of government.

If he’s truly found religion, then being locked up won’t be a big deal to him. It will just be a tribulation send by g*d to make him a better, stronger person.

Amen, bro!

Allers, too, became emotional as his defense lawyer took the unusual step of reading aloud a suicide note he addressed to his wife.

I’d get emotional if my attorney wrote a suicide note to his wife and read it at my trial, too. Imagine what Spanky’s legal staff have in their sock drawers.

Yes, it is. I was thinking the other day, maybe the reason there is so much suffering on the planet is because god spends so much time hanging out in prisons, soothing criminals, that there’s no time left for other activities.

Newly hired baltimore city police commish de souza, just placed on paid admin leave, by mayor, for not filing taxes for three yrs, and the same task force who looked into these cops, is looking at him. I feel ashamed for my city.

Perhaps that is why gawd doesn’t have time to help us, or keep planet safe, cuz he is hanging out in prisons, with folks who as soon as they are released, will know him not

Just out of curiosity, if a regular person was convicted of nine armed robberies, would they only get a 15 year sentence?

God wasn’t missing. This guy could have located some moral focus at any time. He chose to wait untli he was caught. A repentance of convenience.

He found god where the sun don’t shine.

We don’t have to imagine when it comes to Cohen. The SDNY will let us know soon enough.

Written before or after his arrest ? " Boo hoo , I*m a silly boy " .

Would it really be any worse in so many ways if we just eliminated every law enforcement agency in the country - starting with fucking ICE - and started over, no previous employees need apply?
