Somewhat too bad. Hoover didn’t always fall in line with our idiot Gov. Big pension issues going on here (among many other disastrous things) and this guy, despite his other many flaws, wasn’t rubber stamping the idiot Gov.
Whoever replaces him probably will.
Go figure.
We have been for years. Until now only a few were listening to us.
As a woman born in the mid 60’s (and a working comedian in the 90’s) I cannot find any sympathy for him or any of the other men that are finally getting their just deserts. These fuckers have been harassing women (of all ages, I’m sure) since they could get hard and they did it because they KNEW they’d get away with it.
Shame on every man that witnessed this behavior during their lives and never had the balls to say something to the perpetrator but may the universe bless Quentin Tarantino (and every other man) for coming forward and admitting he had witnessed this shit and said nothing. I do believe his interview played an important part with more and more women coming forward and speaking the truth about their experiences with men because we finally felt that our brothers had our backs.
It’s about time society started taking this bullshit seriously. Does anyone really think that racism and bigotry can be resolved before women are treated with the respect every human being deserves? Until men are punished, called out and/or laughed at for being sexual shits towards women nothing will change for any minority.

It would be if the girl is 14. That’s statutory rape and a girl cannot consent legally if she is below the age of consent and she was.
It’s a per se kind of crime.
I assumed a staffer would not be a child.
O sorry. Then you’re right if it is consensual.
For sure women have spoken out before, as you say for many many years, and they’ve been ignored.
But that is only some women. Many have been cowed into keeping silent, many have thought what’s the use, and what use was there if you were only going to be ignored, or lose your job, or in many cases your name. So I do think the spate of perpetrators getting punished has emboldened a lot of women, who previously have been silent, to finally open up.
Heart, my ass. His wife finally sawed his balls off with a rusty razor blade.
Well if they’re not running for the exits they’re being hauled out on stretchers.
He said he sent inappropriate but consensual text messages. And everybody knows those kind don’t cause heart attacks. They’re very acceptable in or out of court. For republican elected officials.
I am just one woman, but here is a list of some of the harassment I endured over the years:
-
On some old family (super 8 film) movies you can see me, a 2/3 year old, in my white dress with my plastic pants over my cloth diaper running away from my grandfather who is chasing me and trying to pinch my ass.
-
When I was 10/11 years old my best friend’s younger brother pulled down my halter top for the entire neighborhood to see. Sobbing, I ran home and told my mother what happened. Her reply? “Now you know not to wear halter tops.”
-
I was 14 years old when my grandfather (yeah, the same one) tried to molest me. I kicked him in the balls and ran out of my house (both my parents were at work, he had a key and let himself in) and hid in my friend’s closet because I was too afraid to go home. When I was forced to go home I was yelled at when I walked in the door so I screamed, “Grandpa tried to french kiss me and feel me up, that’s why I ran away!” My father said nothing but ran upstairs to talk to his father and my mother took me in the kitchen and said, "It’s no big deal, it’s happened to all of us (meaning her, and my two other sisters).
I’m guessing I don’t have to go past the age of 14 because everyone understands that the older I got the worse the harassment got. I am but just one woman, but my experiences are shared by many, if not all.
“ME TOO”
I am going to guess that most, if not all, women have endured some unwanted sexual harassment in their lives.
1- While grocery shopping (not kidding) a man exposed himself to me. He opened his coat and was fully naked.
2- When introduced to an uncle of a boyfriend, he went in for a kiss and stuck his tongue down my throat.
Don’t forget: Man in parked car, “Excuse me, can you give me directions?” and when you walk over to the car he’s beating off. Stupid fuckers never saw my spit in their eye coming (no pun intended).
Guilty subconscious sure has secret powers as to kickin your butt when the time is right.
It’s like if you murder someone and think you got away with it because you never got caught. Someday you are going to tell someone because of your secret subconscious powers will get you sooner or later and then what you owe will be paid, most times.
I was no older than 21 and seated in a crowded subway car going to Manhattan. The strap hanger in front of me thought it would be a good time to show me his shortcomings. I never saw his face, just got up and headed to the door, ran off at the next stop even though it wasn’t mine. I, foolishly, turned to a man on the platform and said a man exposed himself, it was horrible, said man, how awful, and ended his moment of empathy with how’d you like to go on a date with me sometime. My physical abuse also came in a church when I was not yet a teenager. Never told the parents, know I’d be scolded for something or other.
@jenbieds Been there, had that done to me.
I have to add that I think C.K. is particularly sick and twisted because he was happy to just beat his meat in front of women, never proposed sex, never touched them. He would propose they watch him jack off, and one woman reminded him he was married and with a child on the way He backed off. He also didn’t know their names many times as the women have told us.
More importantly, if one party has power over the other in the workplace, what the more powerful party assumes to be consensual very often is not. In the more egregious cases, the more powerful party is engaged in outright extortion.
inappropriate texts! and people think that oldsters can’t use modern technology - so THERE millenials
I wouldn’t say that. Once you pass the threshold of horrific and traumatic behavior, hardly the same level becomes practically meaningless.
This letch has, caught pervert syndrome. I’m sure a whole bunch of these outed bastards are having it all of a sudden and the ones just waiting for the hammer to fall.
His diabetes may well have kicked in when all of the stress was piled on top of it and probably a gallon or so of Kentucky bourbon.
Sympathy is not coming his way. The fellow letches are surely pissed that he’s fudging up their secrets and sympathy for sexual deviancy sailed just about Weinstein time.
If this clod had a brain, he’d jump on the Roy Moore/Trounce train and a t least monetize his scumliness.
Funny, when I read the experiences of other women I don’t even blink. I’m not sure what’s worse, the crap women deal with or the fact that we do/did. Here’s some hope, my two (strong, amazing) teenage daughters wouldn’t think twice about calling out the idiot that pulled that crap on them and all of their friends (male and female) would come to their defense. Yes, the times they are (finally) a changin.
Peace to you littlegirlblue.
