Let’s hope the powers that be in the Democratic Party have learned their lesson. Howard Dean showed them that a “fifty-state” strategy actually worked, but they ignored him. I support this message, and hope others do too. It starts at the grass roots, not in a conference room in Washington.

In active shooter survival training, it’s “run, hide, fight.”

I think we’ve already reached “fight.”

Democrats are too nice. Except for the Bernie bros of course.

Abandoning the 50 State Strategy is one of the dumbest moves this party has ever pulled.

The “Loose Leaf Green Tea Party”???

In 2009 Dick Armey sent Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals to Tea Party leaders across the country. Alinsky wasn’t a communist; he was an organizer, and the Town Hall Meetings that were disrupted by the Tea Party agitators was right out of the book.

Democrats should do the same. If the book is out of print, borrow one from a Tea Party leader.

The Dems will stand their beating, whimper, and take the next one. This is the party that couldn’t be bothered to put up a fight in the Louisiana runoff, not even to send a message that they would fight. There is no resistance in their DNA.

I only saw the end effect of the Tea Party and I was thinking they were mostly astro turf. But they did one thing that Dems don’t do do well, they show up. Maybe when you take a lot of oxycontin and are on disability you have more time to hang out and harang officer holders, but they are there, How can you get progressives to do that they have work and workouts and weirdness to attend to.

Tho it’s great they’re doing this, I wish they were this sharp
when Hillary was running back and forth between FL and NC,
ignoring the residents at large, and problems of all Americans
to pander exclusively to minority interests.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

My old, now-dusty copy is full of insightful observations and practical advice.

Of course, corporate media now have their own “rules”: portray right-wing protesters as “real Americans”; portray progressive protesters as dirty hippies – even when they follow Alinsky’s advice and wear suits with American-flag lapel pins.

Half the fight is against the GOP; the other half is against willfully obtuse for-profit “journalism”…

Demagogue. Demagogue. Demagogue. Americans clearly don’t do nuanced policy. Get out there and let them know what happens if Obamacare is repealed. It won’t be replaced, republicans are trading in your healthcare for tax cuts for people like Trump, and you will die. Lie post fact world. They are pushing policies that kill jobs while lying to you that they’ll,find you work. No fire in dems bellies.

Sweet…now to find a symbol of the resistance since the tea bag hanging from the tri-corner is taken…

Do we get to use the Gadsden flag now?

Oh please. The 50 state strategy only works if you can afford to run competitive races in all 50 states. The Democrats are always trying to find people who can run in local and state races, the problem is funding the ones that a Democrat can win.

The responsibility is on you, me and those of us IN those local areas to find and fund competitive Democrats for office, not the DNC.

I hear ya but bottom-up grassroots organizing doesn’t require coordination, permission or donating every time the D*** calls.
