GW Alum here. This is, honestly, this doesn’t surprise me coming from SJT. For as long as I was at GW, he always struck me as a slimy, arrogant piece of trash. Now he has confirmed that assumption. I hope current GW President (and SJT’s boss) Knapp has a nice long talk with him.
Look I realize he said that women shouldn’t be blamed, but telling them not to drink so much… isn’t cutting it as a solution.

I’m disappointed in the lack of reading comprehension in the article and many of the comments. The professor gave a relatively balanced set of comments, and pointed out that women shouldn’t be blamed for sexual assaults. It’s not fair to ignore part of the comments in order to respond hysterically to the rest.
I have a college-aged daughter. In the ideal world she shouldn’t have to regulate her behavior in order to avoid sexual assault. In the real world in which we live, she needs to keep her wits about her to reduce her risk. It’s not fair, but it’s a fact.
