Jim Webb is kind of an odd duck. Not a prayer to get his name mentioned in the media more than once a week.

Is there even a real Democrat running for the nomination? Oh, that’s right there is, HILLARY MOTHERFUCKIN CLINTON!!

Go Hill!!!

Unfortunately, O’Malley already has sewn up the “unknown-third-guy” vote.

Bad headline. He’s a Dem. Ex-Sen., not an Ex-Dem. Sen.

Actually in the latest ficticious jinx-poll, O’Malley is tied with Chaffee.

So Webb’s agent finally convinced him the bump in speaking fees and the book advance won’t come without the actual presidential-run announcement, huh. I’d say those income enhancements are a long shot even then…

I think running as a Dem was a moment of opportunism to run against Macaca Allen . I’ve never seen evidence of him being a convincing dem.

And he is an Ex Dem Sen … just like he can be referred to as Former Dem Sen.

Might be a bit of both, actually.

Full disclosure: I voted for him, primary and general election. I donated money, time and effort, and campaigned for him as well.

Unfortunately, Mr Webb, aka the quitter, lives in a time warp on some other planet. He is not willing to do what it takes to be elected. He doesn’t enjoy campaigning, loathes fundraising, and is unwilling to compromise his principles for the greater good of the country.

He likes the challenge, has good skills, but once his “mission” is accomplished, (enhanced GI Bill, as senator) or if thwarted, as he was as a Republican Secretary of the Navy (he quit over a spat over some ships) he gets bored, or loses interest, and quits.

Newsflash: you do not get to quit if you don’t get your way as president.

He also is quite the writer and word smith, but doesn’t grasp the concept of contemporary context. The Confederate Battle Flag stands for a heritage of treasonous losers, not anything noble. More recently, since the 1960s it has been rehabilitated and completely appropriated by the white nationalists.

I am quite sure there are proud southerners who don’t sympathize with the neonationalists, the Klan, and the white nationalists, but I doubt there are any intelligent southerners who fail to recognize what that flag means in context. Its current use especially on state property partially paid for by African American taxpayers, isn’t just offensive, it represents a threat.

Webb is delusional on that.

As my combat veteran, 40 percent disabled USMC Iraq vet son says: go away.

“a real Democrat”?

You mean like Jim Hightower, Michael Moore or Chris Hedges?

In the runup to the 2008 election Webb hinted as strongly as he could that he wanted to be Obama’s Veep. He’d have to make an argument that he’d be a better Prez than Veep.

Loks like someone has a serious case of delusion. Wow

And deservedly so! Once a month would do for me, as just a reminder that there’s this guy Webb, ex-Republican and barely a Democrat running for President. Who the fuck are his constituents? Navy dudes? Not the women in the Navy…I guarantee you that.

Isn’t the Republican field crowded enough already?

First of all, thank you for all of your efforts to get Webb elected … George Allen would have been a complete disaster.

Also, and more important, thank you to your son for his service. His service is a precious gift to all of us. The very best to him.

Umm … and he’s right ‘go away’ Webb!
