I donât know why this is even newsworthy. These motions are filed in about 100% of convictions, and denied about 100% of the time.
Itâs kind of like reporting that the defendant continues to assert her innocence. What a shock!
She will change her name to trump and bleach her skin, and everyone will wonder what the fuss was.

It goes strong denials, half-hearted denials, tearful admission, revelation of a deeply personal issue like drug or gambling addiction, sequestration at an expensive rehab clinic (extra points if this rehab is known for hosting celebrities), âfind Jesus,â âreconnect with your familyâ then throw yourself on the mercy of the court.
Thatâs assuming, of course, that youâre guilty, and thereâs ample proof â and at this point I am assuming she is, and there is.
In which case sheâs just digging herself a deeper hole. And you know what? Thatâs fine, seems like she probably deserves a pretty deep hole.
