If only they possessed the good sense to say great things about Chiselin’ Trump, he would probably pardon both of them.
Yeah…
They should just step up to the pardon kiosk …
before the line begins to form ----
Maybe Dump will start a ‘pay for pardons’ racket.
Just book a reception at one of his properties. Or buy an overpriced condo.
Or just hand him an envelope full of cash in broad daylight. Dump has zero respect for the law and I think he’s openly challenging Mueller or anybody else to charge him with something. He’d probably issue a pardon to himself and the spineless Repubs in the House and the Senate would probably let him get away with it.
Hey, if the president’s pardon power is as absolute as some scholars have mentioned, then the acceptance of a big pile of money prior to issuance shouldn’t make any difference at all.
Meanwhile, I know that lawyers have to do things like this, but I find some of the arguments in the appeals fascinating, e.g. that not enough people died or were injured for the misdeed to rise to the level of a federal crime, and that although there’s a right to travel across state borders, there’s no right to travel within the state so as to get to the border…
Call them Indulgences; it sounds classier.
Naa, Trump won’t do anything to make Christie happy.
I saw Nicole Wallace interviewing Christie - she’s a superb interviewer btw - and, while he held his own in defending Trump, I’m not sure he doesn’t eventually rethink that blind allegiance to the Money Launderer. He’s savvier than Giuliani, and seems to have more integrity - admittedly low bar there I realize.
Aw, shucks, we didn’t do nutten…like hell …if nothing else you were a party to a disgusting, dangerous, illegal restriction of transit and as government representatives there has got to be some public protection against this imperiousnes.
Ah , the pardons from Mr Dictator Trumpolini begin .
Yep. They’re saying- We did it, but it’s not a crime.
Call them Indulgences; it sounds classier.
Martin Luther had something to say about ‘indulgences’ as well.
Yep. A bribe will eventually be known as a bribe, a payoff will eventually be known as a payoff. But it’s amazing how long they can keep the gravy train running.
It truly is amazing. I don’t pay too much attention to governors but you can see the power they wield, protecting themselves with the right judges just in case, down the road, there’s a big pothole that wasn’t anticipated.
