Huge difference. MSNBC used their own money, not the taxpayer’s.
And claiming it was just “a couple of traffic lanes being closed” smacks of the desperation the GOP used years ago in claiming the Washington Post was wasting time investigating “a third rate burglary.”

Big difference between taxpayer funded and private corporation spending its money. And in case you didn’t notice, this is about more than just a couple of lanes closure. And if you were one of those people stuck in traffic and you found out the Governor had ordered them and he was a democrat, you wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss this investigation would you.

NJ Taxpayers paid for this whitewash. No verbatim transcripts, no recorded depositions, 70 interviews without a list of who was interviewed. Just a whole lot of supposition.

Guys, remember this is from a guy who, with the same sort of self-congratulatory condescension, would show up every day to unskew polls and declare Romney’s imminent landslide defeat. Of course, he absolutely never owned up to his mistake. Instead he just disappeared for a while and then returned several weeks later making more smug predictions.
This is also the same guy who just knew the IRS non-scandal was going to take down the president yet now tells us jamming traffic for hours on one of the main arteries in and out of NYC on 9/11, using disaster relief funds as a slush fund, holding up disaster relief funds to punish folk who refused to endorse, are non-issues. Yeah, we’re the predictable ones. SMDH
