Discussion for article #247586
The Politico story says the panel must feel some vindication. Um, no. This doesn’t mean they didn’t do it, it means his lawyers likely realized they couldn’t prove it was a factor. That would likely be really hard to prove and really, not even a factor. They can disagree about the direction of the committee and he can be fired for it.
Only reason IMO they did this: The Republicans want to settle it now quickly and pay him to go away, this as they wrap up and release all their ammo on Hillary Clinton in a massive, timed effort to derail her nomination. They demanded the HRC stuff to go away or no $$$. Just watch as this unfolds.
Completely agree. He will get job offer from private company tied to GOP in exchange for dropping allegations.
He was - “A former staffer for the Republicans on the House Select Committee on Benghazi” - so that is who he was suing - and that is who would have to be willing to $ettle up with him to make it go away - so, to make it easier to swallow for the GOP - they took out the part that would make the GOP gag.
I guess the check finally cleared the bank.
Settlement is in the offing, and his lawyers don’t want him to start getting death threats from crazies during the election season?
Could be cleaning up the pleadings as a condition demanded by defendants of a forthcoming settlement?
This guy obviously didn’t put heart and soul into fully investigating the Benghazi disaster. It is high time that Americans learned the full truth. It is hugely important to the nation – important enough that I think it should be investigated by a select committee in Congress.
It might cost a few million dollars, but it would be money well spent.
Benghazi - the most famous city in the world that Republicans couldn’t find on a map if you spotted them Africa and Libya.
Hell, they couldn’t find Akron if you spotted them Ohio.
Well and succinctly put.
ugh, which country is africa?
to be honest, neither could I.
