Discussion: Everything We Know About Charleston Suspect Dylann Roof

I wonder if South Carolina will lower their Stars and Bars to 3/5 Staff.

More like the fact that we don’t have Fundamentalist Christianity in our Public Schools.

Where do you think he learned all that racist hate?

I can easily hear Caribou Barbie weighing in with that pearl of wisdom also too.

The only way to stop a bad guy in a church with a gun is with Shotgun Jesus…

I am truly “heartbroken” for the families of the 9 victims as well as the members of the congregation. It is very disturbing that our youth are being infected with the destructive, vile disease of racism. I lived through the hateful era of Jim Crow, Eugene “Bull” Connors, George Wallace, etc. in my hometown of “Bombingham”, Alabama. There’s been a turn for the worse during the last decade, and I fear we haven’t hit rock bottom yet. I am also deeply concerned that this young man, and others like him, seem to believe that they somehow “own” this country. We’re a melting pot and the population will only become more diverse in the future. He’s living in a fool’s paradise if he imagines that there will be a return to the “good ol’ days of mass segregation and racial oppression”.

So, to sum up… this was “an assault on religious liberty” carried out by a supporter of the Confederate States of America.

I’m not sure that was the narrative Slicky Ricky was intending to promote.

This has nothing to do with anything. Obviously, the REAL story here is that this was a “gun free zone” and was therefore an easy “target for killers” and THAT shoudl be the only thing anyone cares about…

Not enough black folks there to make it worth the effort…/s

Have they done a tox screening on him yet? Dude was probably lit up like a Christmas tree.
His friends, that obviously don’t recognize racism, still didn’t call him radical and nothing else really pointed to ready to go the mass murderer route. Yes he was an introvert and socially stunted which always seems to be a part of the criteria but he wasn’t posting hate rants or talking such things to his friends.
It seems he just snapped and considering his drug history, he may not have been thinking with a clear mind at the time. Druggies like alcoholics do some crazy shit when they are high.

They really did save the best line for last in this article.

We have way too many in rural and northern Maine who are just like this Dylann Roof racist idiot. Lots of folks in Northern Maine brandish the Johnny Reb flag and sybmol at the homes and on their cars and pickup trucks - it is a symbol that they belong to the anti-black, antisemitic, anti-gay, and pro white supremacist movement.

Even our current governor - Governor Paul Lepage - supports and even instigates these crazy people to flaunt their racist symbols with the Johnny Reb and other racists symbols.

This country better wake up and reject by voting anyone out of office that opposes equality - mostly and way too many Republicans either support the white movement or don’t speak out against it or denouncing it. John Boehner and Mitch McConnell are despicable on this account…no where to be seen or found on vehemently opposing the bigotry that is spreading across this country!

…starting with why she gave him that bowl haircut?

Based on that description, plus the 2 recent arrests, I expect to hear someone on Fox tell us that Roof couldn’t have been motivated by racism, because he was an urban black youth.
