I read somewhere awhile back that our politics are more divided than at any time since the 1890s. So, what was going on in the 1890s? Farmers and other rural folk (75% of the US population then) were being squeezed by the adherence to the Gold Standard. The Panics of 1893 and 1896 put added pressure on rural dwellers, hence the William Jennings Bryan (and others, including the unfortunately nicknamed “Silver” Dick Bland) call for minting money backed by less expensive, more plentiful silver. Of course, the bankers would not have it. At the root of this was economic dislocation. Had there been social media, the internet, and all the rest, it would probably look a lot like it does now.
“While current and former U.S. officials with knowledge of the investigation have told various news outlets that Kushner is not a target and his lawyers say he is cooperating fully with Mueller’s office, his meetings with Russian officials and businessmen and his personal finances are all under scrutiny, according to reports in the Washington Post and New York Times.” WTF? How can he NOT be a target?
They told Trounce 3 times supposedly that he wasn’t under investigation, until they said he was.
Then dimbulb Trumpty Dumpty tweeted confirmation and his religious lawyer admitted it on TV.
The Kushner bomb hasn’t gone off yet but I’m thinking it will in due time.
