Discussion: Evers Releases 'Purely Personal' Note From Scott Walker After Initial Refusal

Big deal… probably would’ve been a bone of contention from the GOP legislature about ‘what is he hiding’. Bet they feel stupid now.

I imagine Walker feared better penmanship might be misconstrued by some that it’s a sincere personal note.

Honestly, the first and only sorta classy thing Scotty Walker ever did. Ever…

If only he hadn’t tied the note to a brick and chucked it through a window in the Capitol.

It seems as if they might actually be sincere best wishes. I dunno if I can muster enough humanity to maintain that, however…we’re talkin’ Scott Walker here

ETA: Jesus, do we have to go all FOIA over every effing thing?

Slander! Walker did no such thing.

He paperclipped it to a paper bag full of Dogshit and lit it on fire in the Governor’s office…

Still want honest though…

An honest note would have been… “I broke it, you bought it, sux to be you!”

Honest to G-d … can we please try to allow for a sliver of humanity somewhere in partisan politics?

I support FOIA reqs, for damn sure.

That said, I hope whoever needed to know is happy with themselves.

I love SNL, and if my cheapass phone would let me insert a clip from the Nadeen “simma down” skit, it’d go right here _________________.

Does this mean the Koch bros were friends of Walkers before politics and kept him grounded? Yikes.

P.S. Sorry I signed that legislation designed to hamstring you. It’s my nature.

I see what you did there.

It is the kind of personal letter American politicians used to send each other on a change of administration. I bet the AP was hoping for some red meat aimed at insane base voters. Good for Walker and Evers.

“They will keep your life grounded and positive.”

Looking at the handwritten note, it looks more like it reads, “They will keep you’re life grounded and positive.”

Indeed it does. On line above that he got it right. Betrays impatience to get it over with; indicates insincerity.

Gov. Evers, do the opposite.

Yep, if he’d released it immediately the GOP would have been all over him. If he’d fought it, they would have been all over him.

Like most Republicans it seems, Walker has the soul of an assassin: Whether he speaks foul or fair, the intent is treachery and murder.

‘The AP filed an open records request with Evers for the letter on Jan. 11, one week into his term as governor.’ I’m sorry but I think this is crap. ‘WE’ are not entitled to EVERYTHING. Period. Sometimes a note is just a note.

Yes, but this is Scott Walker we’re talking about. He writes a nice note after he signs a bunch of shitty legslation into law designed to fuck over Dems- especially Evers, so the note’s sentiments are kind of tainted…
