This is non-trivial for the FAA, since a few different charts and books will have to be updated. There’s a follow-on cost for a few private flight guide and flight software companies, too. That’s if they do it right away and not in the normal 2-6 month cycle (depends on the chart/book type).
I’m all for it, mind you, and I think DMBSS, HAIRPC, and LOSER would be great replacement nav point names. I look forward to ATC instructions, “Maintain five thousand until dumbass, turn right on course to hairpiece and climb to one-two thousand. Maintain one-two thousand and report over loser.”

All ATC navigation points must be 5 letters. Please make the necessary corrections and resubmit your work.
You know, we’ve all seen lots of crumbling-empire films. From “Citizen Kane” to all the yuppie-redemption films, “A Face in the Crowd,” you name it, there’s certain points along the way. You start slipping up, proving yourself fallible for the first time. People who once feared you now push back against your bullying. Your spouse leaves. The Old and Trusted Friend tells you you’re heading for a fall. But airport de-naming, that’s a new one on me.

Trump would be bragging about being named sponsor of Mexican jumping beans at this point. He is in denial and full of false pride.
