Discussion: Even Rush Limbaugh Thinks Trump Is 'Caving' On Funding For His Border Wall

And I’d put a lot of money on the Dittoheads all being Drmpfie voters.

This’ll get the base all fired up! Which Bannon will use to convince Drumpfie to ignore commonsense, hold out for his wal, and trigger a shutdown. Goopers will go nuts.

A hot time in the old town tonight.

He is. But I think he is trying to maintain a low profile to avoid getting any of the blowback from Jones and O’Reilly on him.

Shirley you jest! Rush will not and cannot influence Trump to shut down the government.

You’re stubbornly clinging to your outmoded, fact-based worldview.

Don’t call me “Shirley”!

It’s interesting because Limbaugh, I don’t believe, is any longer the juggernaut he once was. And now with the departure of Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly from the scene, we may be witnessing a change in the conservative ranks.

And as rank as they’ve been, I fear it’s only going to get ranker…as conservative media gets dumber, meaner, and more strident.

Based on what evidence?

I stopped listening to all the rightwing radio talkies probably in September last year. Just couldn’t take no more. Today is the first time I’ve seen Rush’s name mentioned on any site I visit since the election. That has been refreshing. I no longer care what he or any of his listeners think about anything.

Thought you would enjoy that!

The "measly $1 billion in the budget " would fully fund Planned Parenthood, and many other important programs the the Fat FuckWad thinks are just fine to cut because they don’t affect him.

This is a big thing. Rush is still big in many right wing circles. Also, the wall is the end-all, be-all for them. Two acquaintances at my dog park who held their nose and supported Trump said it was all for the wall. The wall is the number one reason lots of non-really rich people voted for him.

I am far from convinced that they actually intend to go forward with vetoing, or even seriously and firmly threatening to veto, the funding bill for HHS in order to set up a game of chicken to get funding for the wall. But what Limbaugh has said that this item quotes does not move the needle for me even a little bit towards doubt on that subject. He is disappointed that Trump is not doing America a solid by shutting down at least the HHS over funding for the wall. If Trump had phoned him and dictated exactly what he wanted Limbaugh to say to gin up support, or at least cover, for shutting down the govt over the wall, would the script have been any different than what Limbaugh says here?

Aww, the poor blubblering walrus. How’s all that hatey-changey working out for you?

“A measly $1 billion.”

Has he any idea what a billion dollars could do. Food, shelter, education, you get the idea.

@carolson trumPP has said he would throw out “I’m building a wall!” when the crowd seem to get quiet at rallies, that would fire them up, and then there’d be a call and response. “Who’s going to pay for it?” “Mexico!” It was grand for the crowd, not so much for responsible governing.

And, were it used to fund things Rushbo doesn’t approve of, it certainly wouldn’t be referred to with the adjective “measly”. Then it would be all the money in the world stolen straight from poor working class taxpayers and small businesses.

Trump, I’m sure, does not ever think he caves on anything

Only true thing this bloviator of bloviators - the original conservative bloviator - has ever said.

Of course he’s caving, because Trump is like any other blowhard. Just keep denying him and eventually he’ll wear himself out and give up

Rush always looks like he is going to explode.
