Discussion: Even After Trump Twitter Tirade, Senate GOPers Still Meh On Protecting Mueller

Is the Nile still full of alligators?

@tao There’s a better link to Rs who accept Russian money at the Dallas Morning News but it’s been updated as of today and there’s this. McConnell, Rubio, Graham, McCain, Walker are still the usual suspects

This seems appropriate for the occasion.

Dems are coming to threaten Republican hegemony. And fast!

I guess basic literacy isn’t a qualification for membership in Congress.

That is a hell of a gamble you gop guys are taking.
Be interesting what your party is going to do when:
Mueller is fired by Rosenstein’s replacement, aka lap dog
Yes indeed, how ya going to spin that?

Might explain why Rubio looked like he’d had a death in the family when he was on MTP. Never seen him quite like that. Also explains a lot about McConnell’s behavior.

Also explains the insane amounts of money Parscale made off the Trump campaign.

“In early 2015, Giles-Parscale was hired to create a website for President Donald Trump’s exploratory campaign, charging $1,500 for the site. Through the entire election cycle, Giles-Parscale was paid $94 million by the Trump campaign. In 2016 Parscale was named the campaign’s digital director.”

You have to attribute a lot of the insanity we see in political campaigns esp. presidential to people like Parscale who are hired guns and go where the money is and for as long and as much as possible.

At the same time FB is struggling with chief information security officer, Alex Stamos resigning and most social media struggling and losing money now that we know how they contributed to PP’s "victory.’ Lean in Sandberg is one of the despicables at FB these days.

A little off topic but I love Michael Hogue’s graphics in this article. They remind me somehow of Spy Magazine, the original Trump-haters, lol.

With adding diGenova to Dowd, I gotta wonder…What will SCOTUS do? Because that’s where it’s heading. Alito, Gorsuch, Roberts - are you partisan hacks? Or do you care about the future of this country and democracy?

I loved Spy and how they treated trumpp. They were the first to realize he was a phony and nothing more than a grasping comer from Queens trying to make it Manhattan. Also loved Separated at Birth.

I don’t see the necessity of picking that fight right now.

He’s got them all afraid of his craziness. Cowards.

I agree. But that’s just all part of their con; appearing to care about one thing when in fact they really don’t.

On Sunday Trump alleged that Mueller’s team was filled with “hardened Democrats.”

Wait, wait! Aren’t we supposed to be snowflakes? Does this make us “hardened snowflakes?” Is that like ice?
Or maybe hail. Baseball sized hail about to rain down on this P.O.S!

Or maybe icicles. Long, thick icicles about to…

Nah, we’re just a bunch of snowflakes getting ready to unleash an avalanche on these mu-fu-rs.

I believe “enablers” is the term of art.

Party over country.

He thinks “fulsome” means “thoroughly”.

I wonder if any of these fine gentlemen of the Republican persuasion would recognize OOJ if it slapped them in the face? But if one is paid not to put the puzzle together then…

The GOP did not expect to win in 2016. Their backers don’t want to give up the power they have because of the win. The NRA and Teavangelicals will not go without a fight. It will be messy.
