She said yesterday she’s been planning to get divorced for 20 years.
Kinda late for that innit?
So, who’s the grifter? The wife or the girlfriend?
I saw some of the CNN interview with Anderson Cooper. My god…what a whiny old bastard. I wanted to jam scissors in my ears after 10 minutes.
The league and the players wanted him gone regardless of this, they found their issue to hinge on, and nothing is turning that around at this point.
I suspect the old creep does have dementia. However, that didn’t make him a creep, it merely released the inhibitions and allowed his ugly thoughts to come out.
She wants the team. Whether they’re estranged or colluding, they think this is how he gets out from under the League’s lifetime ban.
She was just patiently waiting for him to pass on…but now the calculus has changed. She’ll fight but she won’t get the team.
Is she going to blame it on dementia?
Both? He seems to be surrounded by them.
I love the dementia angle. I now can say all sorts of nasty stuff about people and claim dementia… thank you guys for bringing it back into the forefront of our culture of excuses.
i know i sound like a grumpy old man, but why is this news? We have real horrors in the world yet this is a massive deal.
just stop buying tickets and all related merchandise until the dude quits.
“May Have Dementia” … oh really? and how long has it taken the geniuses around him to figure this out? Seriously, an 80 year old man who has delusions of realistically conducting an ongoing romantic relationship with a 30 year old - who gives away nearly 2 million in “gifts” & who seems to be futilely grasping to hold on to some youthful self image - who then has an adolescent / teen-age boy like MEGA-melt-down when it becomes clear that the “hot girlfriend” is actually most interested in hunky guys more her age… gee …
It is definitely possible that the old goat is loosing his mental capabilities - and often when this happens, it does not manifest itself as even across-the-board decline - it can be intermittent - the individual can seem lucid and coherent - and then - oh my God! awful - and say / do stuff that makes them appear to be a lunatic.
Either way - (creepy arrogant pig or guy with dementia) - he should be expeditiously escorted out of the NBA .
re: that didn’t make him a creep …
debatable - while it seems that Sterling had lots of creep in him - and could have been ushered out of the NBA some time ago - let’s not us Sterling as the yardstick for dementia
sadly, dementia can take over a saintly person and transform them into the most vile foul mouthed person you have ever imagined - go to nursing homes and you can find cases of ministers, priests, nuns , rabbis who spend their disconnected days turning the air blue with language that would have horrified their former selves.
Dementia, racism, affluenza–man that man is sick!
“She was just patiently waiting for him to pass on…but now the calculus has changed”
BINGO!
I guess he had Dementia back in the 80s when the Justice Dept sued him for discrimination. His tenant an elderly handicapped women whose apt flooded and frig and dishwasher wasn’t working told the Manager she wanted them fixed and money for her damaged property. He told the manager he wasn’t giving her anything and for the Manager to evict the bitch. Yeah that is Dementia for sure.
First prostate cancer now Dementia…what happened to Personal Responsibility???
Demented is not dementia.
LOSE, dammit… LOSE, not loose, learn the damn difference.
Well of COURSE he has . Rightttttttttt .
Dementia is a good claim to make if you want to recover joint assets that Donald gave to his shiksas. It also a good claim that he is unfit to protect the Clippers’ interests during negotiations to sell the team.
