ā€œI’m not saying it’s their fault, it’s just sometimes they’re asking for it.ā€

ā€œI don’t condone cross-burnings and other violence by the KKK,ā€ said Billy Joe Bob McToothless, ā€œbut them nigras should try not to provoke it either by being too uppity or not showing proper deference to good Christian white folk.ā€

Now do you get it, Mr. Smith?

He’s got a point.

Listen, I’m not misogynist or anything, but women do have a tendency to force us men into sexually assaulting them by wearing skimpy outfits or making certain perceived come-ons (like looking in our general direction).

Listen, I’m not defending rape, I’m just saying there’s a difference between legitimate rape and illegitimate rape. And besides, if a woman is raped, her body has a way of shutting that whole thing down.

So no harm no foul.

I’m trying to remember the last time Stephen A Smith said anything worth replying to in any way, at all.

I can’t. So I guess this is progress.

I am reminded of MadTV’s Sex and the City parody:

I only catch ESPN when I’m in a restaurant, but I do at least appreciate that he is one of the few who doesn’t wear fake glasses in an attempt to look smart.

Another speak-o?

My wife always makes me take the restaurant seat that does not face the TV…or the mirror that shows the TV. Sometimes I sit in the car.

I’m pretty good. I’ve self-neutered that way, in an attempt to avoid being forcibly neutered.

Looking for something… High Brow?

Understanding the background helps to understand the depth of this man. I seriously doubt he graduated summa cum laude with a major in Sociology nor Communication. Afterall, he went to the Fashion Institute of Technology for two years and then on to Winston-Salem State University where he received a basketball scholarship.

Understand the source.

Stephen Smith the ESPN panelist should have stayed clear of this loaded issue. I suppose he was trying to make the case that in domestic violence cases, emotional abuse can precede the physical abuse. The physically abusive partner may be responding inappropriately to emotional abuse. if there are simple ways to avoid conflict, there is not a doubt that those measures might be helpful. I am not sure ESPN is the place for that discussion. I suppose some athlete must have done something dumb and Stephen was trying to fill the time.

As the father of two daughters, I’m ā€˜provoked’ to change the channel anytime this POS appears on the ESPN screen.

I’m starting a new side business - ā€œLord Have Mercy on Meā€ Shovel removal services - for those too stupid to realize that they need to stop digging…

But it will only work when those who desperately need it pay for my services in advanced…

What made this worse is that after he made his original comments, he insisted on continuing to talk. Twitter started crawling with mansplainers and disgusting misogynists for the next half hour.

The ability to know when to just take your L and shut the fuck up is a virtue that he doesn’t possess.

How about everybody keep their hands/fists to themselves. Do we really have to hit each other to get a point across?

I suggest a ball gag and mittens. Cuts off the talking and helps with the occasional talker who knows sign language.

The redoubtable Mr. Smith needs to shut the Hell up.

A few more examples of his mansplainin’ and he’ll be unemployed.
