Sooo . . . the message was that recruits would need a lot of help getting laid if they signed with U of L? I mean, yeah, sure in Lexington maybe, but I’d never heard it was a problem in the Kentuckiana area.
So this woman pimped out her own daughters to high school kids and now gets to make money off a book deal about it. I love this country.

Around 15 years ago Spike Lee (He Got Game) dramatized the same type of recruiting “enticements” for star basketball players; it was an old custom even then. And it’s not limited to basketball recruiting; a year or so ago, Florida’s University of Miami was busted for a long-running recruiting cum prostitution scandal that involved football players. With $$ multi-million profits for major universitys with winning football and men’s basketball teams and $$ million+ contracts and endorsements for the coaches of such teams, why wouldn’t such recruiting be practiced elsewhere? I doubt that Coach Pitino, other head coaches, and their athletic directors don’t have an inkling that this goes on at their campuses behind closed bedroom doors.

Well, either Pitino knew or he did not know. He’s culpable either way. If this gets further evidenciary support, he should be shown the door.
Coach Pitino himself, lest we forget, has a history of taking advantage of female fringe benefits available to basketball personnel. Why not the players, too? Their compensation package is free of cash, so why should it not be composed of perks like tutoring, books, clothing, shelter, and female companionship?
