Discussion: Ernst: Trump's Troop Deployment At Border Provides 'Opportunity For Real-Life Training'

So does going out in the field on base. You don’t need to go to the Mexican border for ‘real-life training’.

Senator Ernst is brilliant! I, for one, had not recognized the challenge of logistical planning for an unarmed “enemy”, comprised mostly of dirt-poor women and children, about a thousand miles away from where they’re stationed.

But I’m sure the Russians and Koreans are quaking in their boots as they look on at the most sophisticated military in the world standing around doing nothing.

Deployment to border for real life training? What the fuck is she trying to say?

Forget it… she’s rolling.

Particularly when the “training” is primarily rigging out concertina wire. How much training does one need for that to become an expert?

“an opportunity for real-life training in their roles.”

So that would be real-life training in political grandstanding and general wasting of the troop’s time?

And a colossal wasting of taxpayer money.

Yep. Real-life training for a career in a politicized military. Sorry you guys and gals got sucked into this when you really wanted to serve the country.

How do really stupid people end up in such important positions? And why are all of these folks Republicans?

You do, if your boss is thinking about a future invasion.

She is saying Trump is a total worthless dickhead who does not have a fucking clue but he is a repulsive Republican and she will defend him.
Which means the oath she took in the military, and as a Senator, to defend the Constitution means nothing to her.
Which means Trump’s Fascist ways are fine with herself.

Real life training in shooting unarmed civilians?

Real life training in sitting around on your thumb?

Real life training in putting up tents and then just sitting in them?

Hey, at least we’re paying them to understand that being bored is a requirement.
Did that in 75 when saigon fell and 75,000 came to eglin in florida.
We built a tent city, complete and than provided maid service for months.
we declared ourselves,
Military Maid Service Inc. for 475.00 a month.
Stayed high alot too. lol

These military units are support personnel - their skills would be better used in support of California’s firefighters or their refugees than laying wire…

But if the wire laying is so incredibly effective - we can tell trump - ‘mission accomplished!’ - you no longer need your wall because these units took care of it for you.
