Here is what I don’t understand. Obama’s executive action could be as simple as, ‘don’t deport anyone anymore’. In that case, what precisely does the Republican party defund? How do you defund not doing something? Defunding ICE (or whatever they are calling themselves these days) actually helps the president’s goal.

What a truly bad person. The only real reason the shut down did not have a larger impact is that the American people have an attention span of a goldfish. And on top of that low turn out conservative voters are going to be the ones ok with the shut down in the first place.
Seems to be a good strategy to go long term on. If we do not get our way we will tank the country and make us look like chumps around the world. Great idea.
I like how he throws Obamacare in there. If you want to painfully honest. Remember when the GOP was fighting tooth and nail to stop a popularly elected Congress and president from doing anything. They were elected by much larger majorities than the Congress has. Never hear anything about that.

This whole “they did not suffer the consequences” is because the democratic voters did NOT VOTE!! they let the angry old white men over 65 no college vote for the future of the United states when they have no future in the United States. they voted for themselves and their anger you get the country you deserve Democrats.

The 36% nationwide of voters who came out were old, white and angry and not interested in making government work better. Those on our side contributed to the problem with their apathy, or lack of time or not knowing it was election day or some other bullshit excuse.

Once the Republican-controlled legislatures in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin change the electoral vote allocation from winner-take-all to some form of “proportional” method, 2016 suddenly becomes far more favorable to the Republicans.
