“Clearly Mr. McCarthy has a problem with the truth…keeping it concealed and obscured that is…why, if he were a closet transvestite like me, he’d be outed in a matter of minutes!”

Often-wrong Erickson is stamping his feet again? Can someone fill up his kiddie pool so we can get some quiet?

With the swiftness and breadth of this reaction, you’d almost think that folks had it in for McCarthy even before this gaffe.

“He is shallow and unprincipled and is showing what an opportunist he is willing to be.”

and if there is one thing the GOP is not going to tolerate is someone who is not a grand master of that craft!

“This is the man Republicans want to be Speaker of the House. He is shallow and unprincipled and is showing what an opportunist he is willing to be.”

Looks like a good fit. What’s the problem?

McC. was Majority Whip in 2011 when the Tea Party freshmen wave arrived in Washington. The newbies were hellbent on busting stuff up, consequences be damned. They didn’t respond well to McC.'s efforts to get them to appreciate party loyalty.

“undermining the work of the Republican majority…” made me laugh. He was trying to come up with some list of GOP accomplishments that led him to mention this partisan hack job. What else they got?

True, but I also think they realize how truly damaging this admission really is. It reveals what the left and the media knew all along, that Republicans have been using the deaths of four innocent people as nothing more than a craven, political hit job to undermine HRC’s candidacy. All the angsty hand-wringing over Benghazi has been nothing more than a premature and extended attack ad. And Kevin McCarthy, a GOP leader, has now done HRC the grand service of inoculating her against future attacks on this subject.

There isn’t a lot of McCarthy love flowing through the House, that’s true…but this was a monumental screw up for the GOP. Which, given how divided the TP and Establishment wings are right now, actually does say quite a bit that he could find the one comment guaranteed to bring backlash from both wings AND all Dems.

I won’t call it talent, but there is something special going on there.

Honestly, you know its a bad news day for the Republicans when all the cable channels and corporate media fuckwads turn their focus almost exclusively to reports of impending bad weather and foreign affairs. Deflection and distraction is the best they can offer when shit like this hits the fan.

Meanwhile, as it looks now, CNN is reporting an active shooter in Oregon has killed at least 10 people, so that’s gonna be at the top of the news cycle now. But the last thing that will be talked about as we know, will have anything to do with gun control of course.

So the speaker in waiting spoke the unvarnished truth, and this will give the “left-media new talking points, so says Erick Erickson?” Sorry Erick, it allows ALL media to report what a lot of us have known for a very long time. I believe this is like the 5th or 6th review of Benghazi? So Erickson claims the the committee is “trying to discover exactly what happened and what went wrong in Benghazi,” that BULL and doesn’t pass the smell test. What was this committee going to find that previous others didn’t? The length of the bogus so-called investigation is also highly partisan and has last longer than Watergate and the Kennedy assassination investigations. All while this escapade is funded with ALL taxpayers money and for a one-sided — highly partisan – anticipated outcome – to benefit one political party in a presidential election year.

I say Democrats should refuse to participate in Hillary’s upcoming testimony this month, or maybe just have the very capable Congressman Cummings from Maryland constantly repeat McCarthy’s words and other abuses the public is unaware of. Their primary goal should to discredit the con-job on Amerika!

I think it was Howard Fineman who basically called him a fucking idiot last night. Not that McCarthy deserves any, but I was taken aback at how little respect the panel on Hardball had for him. They weren’t even trying to hide their contempt

Oh no! Really, the death toll is already that high?

He’s from Bakersfield. It’s the armpit of California, believe, me I lived here most of my life. He graduated from California State University of Bakersfield, It has to rank as one of the lower colleges in the Cal-State system. Plenty of rednecks in the central valley too.

They’re trying to unearth what really happened? Why, because the seven other investigations didn’t tell them that Hillary Clinton ordered the death of the ambassador with an email directly to the terrorists?

McCarthy simply verified what we all know to be true. And running around telling the truth is the LAST THING the GOP wants.

Because this wasn’t a rookie mistake. This was a really crappy, no talent, rookie mistake. And McCarthy shouldn’t be a rookie. Political observers from both sides of the aisle are seeing this for the complete blunder that it is. I suspect even Hannity was a bit shocked. He hid it well because he quickly realized that having this idiot promising to be on his show every month was going to be ratings gold and propel Hannity way up the Power Ladder.
