According to folks who have visited Red State in the past 12 hours ( I haven’t the stomach for it) the place is in total melt down now that Trump is the presumptive nominee.

TPM:

“If Trump is the Republican Party nominee, I won’t be a Republican,” Erickson, who founded RedState, told the Daily Beast. “I’m not down with white supremacists.”

Erick Erickson hates that the GOP has been taken over by people like him, and became what he urged it to become.

What do you mean “if?” What do you expect to happen before Cleveland?

Not buying it. EE is the biggest whore there is and once he comes around from his fainting (‘feinting’???) spells he’ll embrace Trump with some reason about ‘the people’ which will have nothing to do with reality but what the hey…

“I’m not down with white supremacists.”

Yeah man, what the hell, it’s like all that bigotry just came out of nowhere!

So you’re going to go independent? 'Cause WE sure as hell don’t want your sorry ass…

Yes, yes - a third party candidate that is your answer … that will fix everything

Erick is just upset that a clowish buffoon who calls people names is now the GOP’s presumptive nominee. It’s not like Erickson ever called a Supreme Court Justice a child-molesting goat-fucker or anything like that.

Republicans stopped calling themselves in Bush’s second term and started identifying as independent, but it doesn’t matter, because they kept voting Republican.

Hey Erick, vile spawn of Erick. Your years of ‘blow it all up’ rhetoric is a big factor in Trump’s rise. You can’t wash your hands of it just because your guy couldn’t get enough votes. You built this. You own it.

Now that he’s made his money banging that drum, he’s shocked to find out people were listening to it.

No doubt. I suspect Erick Son of Erick has been thinking like a lot of GOPer talking heads and lawmakers who’ve spent the better part of their careers blowing the dog trumpet, but somehow didn’t believe their base was really racist. It’s all been a game for these people, a game they managed to convince themselves their base was playing too. It’s like feeding your kid a diet of nothing but sweets and junk food and then acting surprised when the kid develops diabetes.

Exactly. Trump is the nominee, precisely because he is a white supremacist!

Well, there goes their monopoly on the fat, sweaty, shiny, stupid white redneck vote.

“I do not find it plausible that the GOP would reject another David Duke should he ever advance to Trump’s position,”

If David Duke himself somehow secured the GOP Prez nod the RNC would proclaim everyone needed to support him and his campaign. Thinking otherwise is delusional.

White supremacists are loud, noisy, and stupid. EE prefers his bigotry quiet and slightly more deniable.
