Discussion for article #227095

Isn’t this why he deliberately lost his election?

In other words Cantor has the exact same job as he had before. The only difference is he and is making a lot more money.

Not me! I’m stunned.

Good news for Bobby Van’s Steak House and BLT Steak.

Oh, like they’d have to close if they lost Cantor’s business!

Well he never once managed to pass the 12 appropriations bills on time. So I hope they put him in charge of payroll. See how that flies in the private sector.

Whoever would have thunk it!

I suspect that his new job will have more stringent rules about sharing confidential information profitable to his wife than he let his last job have.

That’s a lot of words to say “lobbyist.” Did anyone lose a bet on where poor unemployed Eric would end up?

It’s the Peter Principle in action! The more incompetent you are, the higher you rise!

I’ve really been working on restraining my profanity. This is a test.

This fucking pig is just one example out of 536+.

Oops. I failed. Sorry.

What company wouldn’t want a guy who lost the confidence of his closest voters by 10 percentage points? After all, in his last job his accomplishments were ZERO. I wonder how many interviews I would get called in for if I had that on my resume. I guess we know why wall street is so hated.

Cantor is much better suited to live the life of a wall street criminal than as a public servant. He wants all of you stupid people in his old district to know that he will get you." That speakership was mine god damn it you will pay."

Thanks Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes.just a one word play here:

“Saw the Congressman of the United States
The man said he was gonna give it up
He’s giving us high hopes
But he still turned around and left all us poor folks behind”

I can see it now:

Please describe your interpersonal skills and accomplishments… People hated me. I was very good at it.
Please describe your management skills and accomplishments… I ensured nothing was accomplished. I was very good at it.

Excellent, you are perfect for the job. Name your salary…When can you start?

Of course, he did. Why is there any surprise here?

Not the Peter Principle.

Bwahahahahahaha!! Of course he did!

Everybody!

Will the circle be unbroken
Bye and bye Lord, bye and bye
There’s a better home awaiting
In the sky Lord, in the sky

Because of course he did.
