When the EPA chief is afraid to sit next to ordinary Americans, something has gone seriously wrong.

I wondered who EPA spokesman Jahan Wilcox was, turns out he was at RNC in 2014, according to Red State:

Jahan Wilcox is the rapid response director at the RNC. He’s charged with responding quickly to attack Democrats and rebut Democrat attacks on the GOP.

I thought he might be inexperienced, but no. He should check his facts though before shooting off about stuff.

EPA Walks Back Claim That Pruitt Has ‘Blanket Waiver’ To Fly First Class

♫ The Pruitts of Southampton
Just like the richest folk
But what the folks don’t know
Is that the Pruitts are flat broke ♫

Scott Pruitt is an energy industry saboteur installed to destroy the effectiveness of the EPA.

Once you accept that, every action he takes makes complete sense.

What the fuck is the difference in “threat level” if you’re in coach or first class? Sad.

Pruitt is used to all the perks of serving the oil and gas industry in OK when he was AG. My husband had a consulting gig with one company and they had their own private plane that flew a regular daily round trip out of Houston so the TX big wigs could be home for dinner.

It’s like a Mad Libs you can use for every Cabinet position.

Look, Pruitt is a prick, but the coach vs. 1st class does make sense from a security standpoint.

That being said Pruitt’s expenses for security involving his position are indefensible. FFS- what on earth is the justification for a private SCIF room?

The good people in coach might tell him what they think of him.

I hope so.

It’s the curtain that the flight attendant closes after the Fasten Your Seat Belt sign goes off that protects you.

If you mean that there are more people in coach who might want to kick the shit out of him, I’d agree, but generally, with an aircraft, the threat level (turning into a rock) is the same everywhere

How so?

I agree. There is no added security in Business and First, just more leg room and better seats. I could spit on Pruitt in business or first as easily as coach.

I don’t recall an official explanation ever being given for this ‘level of threat’ that has never existed for any previous EPA administrator. No explanation of the ‘threat’ when it was disclosed that he has a large and expensive security detail. No explanation of the ‘threat’ when it was disclosed that he had a private security communication booth in his office. No explanation here.

What’s the threat Secretary Scaredy Cat?

Dude must be the second largest snowflake in this administration.

Riight, sure he does.

Also, Emirates First Class–that’s pretty nice Scotty! Flying from MXP to JFK, that meant you were on an A380 with a private suite.

Must be nice, you grifting asshole.

The likelihood of an attack on Pruitt as an individual is significantly greater than the likelihood of an attack on the plane.

If I had time and the desire I could give the P value and ANOVA to prove it.
