When a lot of the younger Republican Congressman used to live in a house together many years ago, they were taught that the rules were for other people, but not for leaders like them, who have been selected for greater things. That’s where guys like Mark Sanford learned that there literally are no ethics for GOP leadership.
That’s where Trump, et al., are coming from. Obama ran the cleanest administration in recent history and his name is uttered almost as the vilest obscenity a Republican could hear or say.
