Discussion: EPA Proposes Easing Limits Of Mercury Emissions From Coal Plants

Kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out I guess.

Mercury is bad, but my neighbor thinks the lead in his pencil is of greater concern.

Forest Trump: Only Democrats suffer from Mercury Pollution. I will be president for life.

In his obsessive jealousy and hatred of President Obama, Trump evidently has decided to kill thousands from mercury poisoning. This man is a sociopath.

Have we reached the point where “Trump” is synonymous with “crimes against humanity”?

And he’s managed to do it in less than one term.

This will create tens of jobs - somewhere. Probably in the mortuary business.

Q. How do you get Trump to change a light bulb?

A. Tell him Obama originally installed it.

Mercury is a horrible poison that degrades human life and kills.

But the lead in your neighbor’s pencil is not lead at all, its graphite which s completely non-toxic.

The change would make it easier for coal-fired power plants to emit mercury and other pollutants linked to developmental and respiratory disorders.

Breathing and developing are overrated.

May that be a very short presidency.

Poor overburdened fossil fuel industry. But 80,000 more deaths per decade? No biggie.

the Trump administration’s environmental rollbacks could lead to at least 80,000 extra deaths per decade and cause respiratory problems for more than one million people, according to a separate analysis conducted by researchers from Harvard. That number, however, is likely to be “a major underestimate of the global public health impact,” said Francesca Dominici, a professor of biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health.

I have a modest proposal: Let’s do a bioassay and enroll all those who support this sort of deregulation as study subjects.

Unfortunately, there might be a bit of a problem confounding the studies of mercury and lead, since the baseline crazy of such subjects is so high at the outset. But they should do nicely in respiratory studies.

Faulty concept. Mercury poisoning might have the effect of making Louis Gohmert and Steve King appear more intelligent.

Let’s run a very long pipe from one of these facilities into tRump’s bedroom so he can sleep/tweet and watch tv knowing he’ll be right there with other people surrounded by these plants.

The annual March for life is just a few weeks away. I’d love for someone to show up with a banner with that on it at the rally. Unfortunately you can’t charter a plane to fly one over the capitol due to restricted air space.

The opposite, people who suffer the effects of profound Mercury/lead, etc poisoning are the type of voters who are Trump’s core support. It takes something that kills off most of your brain to become MEGA. (That or believing the Jesus was a gun toting white dude, who hated the poor and brown black people, and the only way to get into heaven is to step on everyone else to become the richest person possible). Trump is just trying to create more MEGA supporters.

Since Trump is obsessed with the belief the coal is clean, I suggest that all the coal ash produced on his watch, and all the coal mine tailings be trucked and dumped on Mar-a-Lago and his other resort properties, and that all the smoke stack effluent to piped to his towers. Thus he can truly live (and die) by his beliefs.
