Boy oh boy, I can’t wait for all the Pruitt indictments to finally hit him.
Somewhere around the 12th of Never would be my best guess…
Under Pruitt, the agency was receiving up to 60 new FOIA requests weekly …
“We can’t keep up with that. Nobody can keep up with that. What we do here is try to process them as quickly as we possibly can,” Jackson said.
“Look,” he continued. "We haven’t had time to revamp our document classification and tracking systems since the Great Purge of 2017. It’s not like we’re a library.
"We have reached out to other agencies, specifically HHS, for advice on how to upgrade and enhance our ability to track both documents and requests.
"Ultimately, should Congress provide adequate funding, we hope to be able to locate nearly half of the requested documents and, ultimately, once staffing is put in place and operational, fulfill up to a dozen FOIA requests per week.
“Now, as to Acting Administrator Wheeler’s new flag design, I assure you we are working around the clock to finalize its design. With the invaluable assistance from Special Presidential Advisor Ivanka Kushner, we hope to have its manufacture out for bid to various Chinese vendors in the next week or two.”
If it’s trouble to keep up with all the FOIA requests maybe the agency could, radical thought, make everything public from the time it’s created.
