Donald Trump, his thug bagman-attorney Michael Cohen, and his sycophant friends at AMI, went to great lengths to cover up his lifelong sexual predator habit during and immediately after the campaign.
Does anyone actually doubt that he most certainly engaged in similar or worse in order to cover up his collusion with Russian Intelligence to cheat in the GOP Primaries and Presidential election?
Like peeling an onion layer by layer the deeper you go the more stink you get.
Oh for the days of Tan suit and Bare arms scandals
I really think that will be Rrumps one and only Presidential campaign. Either by resigning or impeachment he is done
Trump’s corrosive touch is so pervasive that he is being shunned by the legal profession. The people at AMI deserve to have Stormy Daniel’s attorney Michael Avenatti nipping at their heels. In fact, maybe it would be a good idea to start a GoFundMe site to raise money to hire him to pursue lawsuits against Trump, his family, his in-laws and all members of the hyena pack he tabbed to work in his cabinet…then pass the popcorn.
No telling how much of this went on between the time he won the GOP nomination and Election Day. A bigly “Oh shit!” moment.
By the time each of these tangled yarns is disentangled and followed up on, we’re gonna find they’re all part of the same skein of yarn, even though at the moment, they look unconnected. It’s all one big ball of corruption, lies and deception. I hope they all get their time in pokey.
ETA: Mueller’s final report:
I’d give money to help her defense.
But Avenatti has just made his name so unforgettable that he’s gonna make bank big time after this. He’s covered financially, no matter what – even if the $$ pay-off is down the road.
I think Avenatti’s needling will make Trump completely lose it. Trump has NEVER been subjected to sustained, public, relentless public humiliation as he is receiving it today. In every appearance now, Avenatti is daring Trump to speak, asking why Trump is afraid to say anything.
Truly, this is the epic spanking Trump has deserved his whole life.
Actually, thinking a little more about this, I believe there is a realistic scenario for Trump to go down hard—even be impeached—as a result of actions he takes in this affair. What I think is that if Trump can’t respond publicly, he will instruct the Justice Department to go after Avenatti—to open some investigation.
And if THAT happens…
Why have we come this? Who Trump screws should not be a national issue. Indeed, having to even talk about Trump as more than a developer/tv guy should not be a national issue. Part of this lies in the serendipitous ejection of the pro-modernization contingent in the Russian government in 2012-13, and the rise of the siloviki, the reactionary, Russia first, contingent. After that we got a huge hike in military spending, Crimea, Donbass and the Hungarian elections in short order. It also put Russia on a paranoid path that it has yet to abandon today. We’ve seen the nativist parties rise, and even take control, in countries across the world, from Austria to Burma. Most Americans had not heard of the term “alternative right” even in 2016, but clearly the movement globally seems to have coalesced after the Great Recession (Paul Gottfried coined the term in 2008). The siloviki realized they could leverage this, first in Central Asia and elsewhere on lessons from the color revolutions, which included Ukraine, and then on to Hungary and the European (EU/Nato context). When Bannon said that Trump “got it”, this seems to be what he got. It was the same thing the siloviki got. Preservation of a regime that favors privilege of a few, with no thoughts of intergenerational altruism that would leave our descendants a better world than we have now. Just unbridled greed, fear and bunga bunga.
Morning Joe did it this morning with a clip of the interview him saying how he counterpunches with a cut to a shot of the White House with crickets in the background. And you know Trump watches Joe
Trump family? That’s the Trump Crime Family, right?
Bonus points for “bunga bunga”!
And…“reputation management services”?!
This is like wondering if maybe you should stop drinking. If you’re asking the question, the answer is likely, yes.
If you need someone to “manage” your reputation, there’s likely something wrong with it and you.
Not enough public humiliation, but it’s a start. Let him feel like those he has bullied over the years.
I agree, absolutely.
Avenatti is trying to force a major error by Spanky. He’s already forced Spanky’s pet hyena (Cohen) to make some pretty dumb mistakes. And, even though Spanky is momentarily not responding, everybody knows that there will come a time when he will erupt and incriminate himself (see: Comey firing, Russian investigation).
And when the explosion comes (and it will), I’ll bet he takes the hyena and the Evil Spawn down with him. For sure he will throw son-in-law to the wolves.
It’s no wonder that decent lawyers want nothing to do with him (“sorry, can’t help, my dog has a hang-nail”). They smell the coming storm and are staying as far as away as possible. When even Dowd throws in the towel, you know just how bad it is.
AMI’s chairman and CEO is David Pecker, a close friend of Trump’s who has admitted he agreed to buy McDougal’s life story and hire her as a fitness columnist on the condition that she not embarrass Trump.
This movie is going to require a significant suspension of disbelief.
I’ll once again link to Murray Waas’s 2016 must-read reporting, which is aging extremely well.
Trump: Whores have rights too; otherwise they will not honor my NDA.
Pardon my saying so but … I could hug you for using that word correctly.
That’s right, especially because, unlike many prominent lawyers, Dowd is a staunch Republican.
The sleaze is just oozing out of this WH.
