Discussion for article #226678
So what.
BFD.
Is there a Peabody for obnoxiously smug?
Clinton good, Warren bad. Just making sure everybody is in line.
I don’t think the senator needs “rescuing”. Who makes this shit up?
I think I can clear all this up. Warren herself is the best choice in 2016 and she knows it. She’s not ready to announce yet, doesn’t want to lie about who is the best choice. So she was in fact rescued from lying or making a strategic error by throwing her hat in the ring this early. Give that “supporter” a job.
Well said and I believe 100% dead on accurate.
Killing the GOP among swing voters.
The McClatchy-Marist College poll shows political moderates oppose the impeachment of Obama 79 percent to 15 percent. Not only that,
if the House GOP did initiate impeachment proceedings, moderates say it would turn them off so much that they would be pulled toward the Democrats.
By 49-27, moderates say impeachment would make them more likely to vote Democratic than Republican in 2014.
Americans say 58 percent to 34 percent that the GOP should not sue Obama, and moderates agree 67-22.
Moderates also say by a 50-25 margin that the lawsuit makes them more likely to back Democrats in 2014.
Just in time for the 2014 Midterms.
Perfect.
Problem with Warren as the choice . . . she won’t get elected, at least not in 2016. That said would I llike to see her run in the primary? Yes.
I don’t get it. You don’t think she’s capable of saying something like “the American people will decide” when asked if she thinks Hillary is the best choice. There’s nothing here IMO.
I think she could win if she continues with her populist message. Just not sure if she’s sincere about it or not. Hate to be burned twice. And then there’s the opposition’s clown car full of convicted, indicted, and or about to be, clowns. Yea, I know, Murika may indeed be that stupid. Jeebus, I’m scaring myself!
If she’s capable of grilling bankers like she does, she’s tough. But people who talk all day long every day get caught short sometimes. Perhaps it’s important in the sense that she will continue to end up in contentious debates where she’s accused of being Hitler and it would be nice if she doesn’t have a Perry moment.
Will she turn coat? If she just wanted to get elected to something, the easy route is to just be a tea partier. She didn’t pick the easy way.
Progressives themselves don’t think they are electable. Since maybe George McGovern. They tend to hide their own positions as if they are embarrassing, instead of trumpeting why they are good ideas and fighting back.
Simple answer: “I don’t believe she’s declared for 2016, and besides, the elections we need to worry about now happen this November.”
Fox News!!!
Get off your high horse Darcy. “Hate to be burned twice” What a joke
Thought I could sneak that by you but you’re… everywhere!
The same folks helped hand The Dummy a GOPer House and Senate in 2002.
You actually haven’t even been burned once except in your fevered imagination. And no she cannot win this time out. Next her populist message is wonderful, however she will have to magically change Congress to have an easier time of moving it forward than Obama has had.
