Privatizing education is complicated by things like discrimination, income inequality and diversity. Privatization is also complicated by things like science and mathematics and history and civics and stuff like that. But I’m guessing they will keep the rule that home-schooled children must be allowed to play on the public school football team…

Betsy DeVos is a sow cow.

Yeah, it’s always Opposite Day at the ED–and the EPA, and DOE, and HHS, and …

Heaven forbid the home schoolers can not participate in the school sports of the schools they do not attend!

This kind of stuff, along with the moves against science, is one of the more dangerous things happening in the government. Republicans are trying to rework the education system to make it easier to discriminate and propagandize, in the hopes that they can control the next generation of Americans. Fortunately, education is mostly a state and local thing, so all they can do is try to give power to those who would wreck their education systems. While this will be popular in the red states, blue states won’t fall for this, and more people live in blue than red areas. Maybe that will be enough to hold the line until these people go away.

“What the previous administration was doing was working. So we’re not going to do it any more.”

Note that they’re not promising to do any decent case-by-case work either.

A really mean prank to play on the neighbor you don’t like is to put a Trumpp cabinet member in a paper sack, put the sack on the neighbor’s porch, light the sack on fire, ring the doorbell, and then run like hell.
