Discussion: Economy Adds X Jobs In February, Unemployment Rate Little Changed

Discussion for article #234024

GOP leaders meeting right now to decide today’s talking point. They have narrowed it down to these three choices:

A. The economy is heating up in anticipation of a new Republican president in 2017.

B. See how much better the economy is when the Republicans control Congress!

C:  Recent economic performance demonstrates that the Bush tax cuts did work, but took longer than we thought.

I look forward to Boehner/McConnell simultaneously telling us why this is bad while taking credit for it.

You forgot:

D. “Wrong” kind of jobs being created, “right” ones require more tax cuts/deregulation

E. “Real” unemployment still in double digits because “millions” have given up looking for jobs

Yeah, what do the numbers look like when they aren’t skewed?

Ding ding ding! Never in my life have I seen the MSM parse through job numbers to decide which jobs are real and decent jobs and which jobs aren’t really jobs. And the real unemployment number? I’d never heard of that until scary black president who is scary had the audacity to be duly elected to the presidency.

What makes your comment even funnier is that Jack Welch is already accusing the Obama administration of cooking the books. They actually believe this shit.

Obama’s so incompetent, he can’t even destroy the country right.

More proof that Obama doesn’t love the our country the same way Republicans (particularly Bush) did.

Of course, I blame Obama.

I admit to being a little worried about this report yesterday when I heard that applications for unemployment benefits reached a ten-month high last month, so this news comes as some relief.

If Romney had announced he was running for president, last month, he would have taken credit for this.

AHA!

It’s so sneaky how President Obama is destroying jobs with Obamacare! He’s fooling us by adding hundreds of thousands of jobs a month! Don’t fall for his Kenyan trickery, America!

Could be that all the snow contributed to temporary lay offs.

F. Under President Romney it would be 1.5%, or even less!

Ha! That’s how they sound.
Funny thing is, before Obamacare became law in March 2010, we had just LOST private-sector jobs in 25 of the 26 prior months. But, after Obamacare became law, we have GAINED private-sector jobs in 60 of the past 60 months.

Just think what Mr. Obama could accomplish in a 3rd term…
